Zoe Kravitz's Exclusive Reaction to Taylor Swift's 'The Life Of A Showgirl'
Taylor Swift's Highly Anticipated Album: A Glimpse into Her New Era
Get ready, Swifties! The wait is almost over for Taylor Swift's 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, set to hit shelves on October 3rd. But what do we know about this highly anticipated project? Well, let's just say it's been a wild ride for the songstress and her closest friends.
Zoe Kravitz Spills the Tea
During an interview with Extra's Tommy DiDario, Zoe Kravitz dished out some juicy details about Taylor's upcoming album. The 36-year-old actress, who has been close pals with Swift for years, revealed that she's already heard bits of the new music and was impressed by its quality.
"I've heard bits of it," Kravitz shared, "It's fantastic, of course. No skips." When asked to elaborate on what she meant by 'no skips', the star explained, "For her, it's not." This cryptic comment has left fans speculating about the album's tracklist and production.
A Bathroom Disaster
But that's not all - Kravitz also shared a hilarious story about how Taylor Swift came to her rescue during the devastating L.A. fires in January. The actress recalled staying at Swift's historic $25 million Beverly Hills mansion with her mom, Lisa Bonet, and their pet snake, Orpheus.
"We ended up having to stay there for about two weeks," Kravitz explained, "And Taylor has this beautiful house. It's from the '30s, something you want to preserve and take care of." However, things took a turn when Kravitz discovered her mom trapped in the bathroom with Orpheus.
"I went upstairs and found my mom crouched in the corner," Kravitz recalled, "And I'm like, 'What's going on, dude?' And she's like, 'So I was washing my face and I had Orpheus...'" The snake managed to squeeze itself into a tiny hole in the wall, leaving Kravitz and her mom panicked.
"We ripped up the tile. We scratched the walls," Kravitz continued, "I mean it's just like... we completely destroyed Taylor's bathroom." Swift was already aware of the situation when Kravitz called to confess, saying "Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?"
The Life Of A Showgirl: A Sneak Peek
But what about the album itself? Well, fans got a glimpse into Taylor's new era last week on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast. She unveiled the cover art for The Life Of A Showgirl, featuring herself partially immersed in water while donning a bedazzled bodysuit.
"I loved what they did with those photos, so I called them up for this album," Swift explained, "I am so happy with the way the photos came out with this one." The singer gushed about her new record, stating it's "a full send. I care about this record more than I can even overstate."
Collaborations and Production
Interestingly, Taylor opted to work with producers Max Martin and Shellback on The Life Of A Showgirl, instead of collaborating with her previous partner Jack Antonoff. The album features 12 tracks, including the titular single "Life Of A Showgirl" featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
Swift recorded tracks during her Eras Tour from 2023-2024, whisking herself away to Sweden for brief breaks to work closely with Martin. And on Monday, she sent fans into a frenzy by releasing a seductive new album cover for The Life Of A Showgirl and its limited-run Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection.
In the image, Swift poses inside a dimly lit corridor, clad in a glittering, dark purple bodysuit that clings to her frame. The singer's blonde locks cascade down past her shoulders as she sends a sultry gaze towards the camera.
The Wait is Almost Over
So, what can we expect from The Life Of A Showgirl? With its seductive covers and cryptic comments, it's clear that Taylor Swift is on a mission to push boundaries. And with collaborations like Sabrina Carpenter and Max Martin, this album promises to be one for the ages.
