Zara Larsson and Tate McRae Unite Against Fan Rivalry

Zara Larsson has hit out at fans for pitting her against Tate McRae as she insisted they 'love and support each other' in her recent Instagram post on Monday

SCANDAL ROCKS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY: ZARA LARSSON CALLS OUT FANS FOR Pitting Her Against Tate McRae

In a shocking turn of events, Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson has clapped back at fans who have been comparing her to fellow singer-songwriter Tate McRae. The drama erupted after the two musicians wrapped up their collaborative tour, with Larsson taking to Instagram to express her gratitude and address the haters.

Larsson, who recently released her latest album Midnight Sun, shared a series of sizzling snaps from the Miss Possessive Tour, which came to a close in Los Angeles last week. The Swedish star took a moment to thank Tate for having her on board as an opening act, calling it an "absolute pleasure" to share the stage with the Canadian singer.

But things got juicy when Larsson addressed those who had been pitting the pair against each other online. She fired back at the critics, insisting that she and McRae are simply two pop girls who love and support each other behind the scenes.

"It's a wrap on Miss Possessive tour!" Larsson exclaimed. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your stage with me and my girls every night, Tate. I'm speechless at the amount of praise I've been getting over these past few weeks from your wonderful fans online."

Larsson praised McRae's talent, saying she was "insanely talented" and had an incredible team behind her. She gushed about the dancers, band, crew, and tech who worked tirelessly to bring the tour to life.

"You set the bar," Larsson said. "You set the standard. You are a superstar. Just know, I will always have your back!"

It's clear that Larsson is a big fan of McRae's work, but she's also not afraid to call out those who try to create drama between them. The Swedish pop star has been making waves in the music industry with her latest album, Midnight Sun, which dropped just last week.

Larsson took to Instagram once again to express her gratitude to fans for their support and to tease what's next for her music career. "One day of Midnight Sun!" she exclaimed. "This record has made me more expressive with my thoughts... It's exciting to feel like this is only the beginning."

And what's next for Larsson? She'll be hitting the road again in October, embarking on a solo tour across Europe, the UK, and the US. Fans are eagerly anticipating her return to the stage, but it looks like McRae will be missed.

Meanwhile, McRae is still basking in the glow of her scorching performance at the MTV VMAs, where she brought the house down with her sultry routine for Revolving Door and Sports Car. Flanked by hunky backup dancers clad in tiny speedos, McRae worked her magic on stage, complete with a steamy sand box dance and a floor-contorting finale.

Fans were left gagging over McRae's performance, with one fan raving: "Tate McRae was so f**king hot in the performance, I loved it so much!" It seems like McRae is definitely living up to her reputation as the next Britney Spears – and we can't get enough of it!
