Yungblud Embraces Masculinity: A Powerful Journey of Self-Discovery
YUNGBLUD OPENS UP ABOUT HIS PANSEXUALITY AND BODY IMAGE IN A SCANDALOUS INTERVIEW WITH ATTITUDE MAGAZINE
In a jaw-dropping revelation, British rockstar Yungblud has candidly shared his thoughts on his pansexuality and body image in the latest issue of Attitude Magazine's Pride edition. The 27-year-old singer, who came out as pansexual in 2020, has spoken about how he feels more confident than ever to express himself, despite years of feeling "insecure" about his identity.
In a no-holds-barred interview, Yungblud revealed that he feels like the term "pansexual" gives him the freedom to be himself without any constraints. "I'm the pan man – I'm the f*ing saucepan," he exclaimed. "Because it's the label that allows me to be who I am; it's the one with the most room for manoeuvre." He continued, "Do you know what I'm saying? I do feel like I am less insecure about it."
For those who may not be familiar with the term, pansexuality refers to a person's romantic, emotional, and/or sexual attraction to people regardless of their gender. It's a label that has gained popularity in recent years, especially among young people who are looking for a more inclusive way to express themselves.
But Yungblud's interview wasn't just about his sexuality – he also opened up about his body image and how it's affected him over the years. "I've got this really forward, masculine, sexual aggression that I need to get out," he confessed. "And I can either do that by shagging and partying, or by taking a more centered route." He admitted that in the past, he wasn't happy with his body and didn't feel sexy – but now, he's feeling more confident than ever.
In fact, Yungblud has been so confident lately that he's even been experimenting with different looks. "Some days I'm still gonna walk out the house with lippy on," he said, "but I know for this period in my life, I'm liking looking like a boy for the first time in a long time."
But Yungblud's love life has also made headlines in recent months. In May, he revealed that he had finally found "the love of his life" in Cher's god-daughter – although the relationship didn't last long due to intense insecurity. The British rocker, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, has been linked to several high-profile women in the past, including Halsey.
Despite his tumultuous love life, Yungblud seems to have found solace in his music. His latest single, "Zombie," was released just last month and features award-winning actress Florence Pugh in its music video. The song's lyrics are a powerful exploration of grief, trauma, and the feeling of becoming a burden on those we love.
"The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma," Yungblud explained. "It's about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment." He continued, "We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it's f*ing scary."
The music video for "Zombie" is a heart-wrenching portrayal of a healthcare worker on the brink of emotional collapse – and it's clear that Yungblud has poured his heart and soul into this song.
With the release of his latest album, "Idols," Yungblud is set to take the music world by storm. The first part of a double album, "Idols" marks a new era for the British rocker – one that's all about exploring themes of love, identity, and vulnerability.
As Yungblud continues to break down barriers with his music and his message, it's clear that he's an artist who is not afraid to be himself. And in a world where self-expression and inclusivity are more important than ever, we couldn't be more grateful for his candor and courage.
