Yungblud and Jack Osbourne Clap Back at Critics Over Ozzy Tribute!

ROCK 'N' ROLL REBELLION: Yungblud and Jack Osbourne Clash with "Bitter" Critics over Ozzy Tribute

The music world has been abuzz with controversy as Yungblud and Jack Osbourne, son of the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, fired back at critics who slammed their tribute performance to the metal icon. In a scathing response on Jack's podcast, Trying Not To Die, the young rocker and his new friend took aim at those they deemed "bitter and jealous" for trying to tear them down.

Yungblud, 28, had formed a close bond with Ozzy after meeting him in 2022. The pair's relationship blossomed into an almost father-son dynamic, with Yungblud reportedly delivering a heartfelt reading at his funeral. He also took the stage at Ozzy's farewell concert at Birmingham's Villa Park, where the rock legend was battling declining health.

Yungblud, 28, had a very strong relationship with Ozzy after meeting him in 2022, and it appeared that their relationship grew into an almost father-son type bond

But it was Yungblud's performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month that sparked the most outrage. Joined by Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, the young rocker paid tribute to Ozzy alongside his fellow legends. However, not everyone was impressed – The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins dismissed it as "another nail in the coffin of rock n roll," while his brother Justin snarked that Yungblud had somehow positioned himself as a natural heir to Ozzy's legacy without doing any "really important stuff."

In response, Yungblud fired back at the criticism on Jack's podcast. "I think the strangest thing about all this is that I was just trying my best for your old man," he said, his voice trembling with emotion. "He gave me such a gift – a sense of purpose and belonging in the music world. When people try to intellectualize what we're doing on stage, it's just bitter and jealous."

He continued: "They're trying to insert themselves into a conversation to obtain some kind of relevancy on the back of us honoring one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived. And then they talk about authenticity? Please – anyone bigger than you or more emotionally evolved will never talk down on you. Your dad wouldn't do it, James Hetfield wouldn't do it, Kerry King wouldn't do it. They just let the music speak for itself."

Now, Yungblud and the son of the rock legend have clapped back on the latest episode Jack's podcast, Trying Not To Die, on Tuesday

Jack Osbourne chimed in, his voice laced with anger: "These people didn't even know how involved Dom was in my dad's life. They don't know the story of it – the things we know. I texted you on the night of the gig and said, 'Fucking crush it.'"

Yungblud shot back at The Darkness, saying: "Anyone bigger than you or more emotionally evolved will never talk down on you. You're just trying to tear us down because you can't handle being one-upped by someone who's actually making a difference in the music world."

The young rocker also pointed out that rock 'n' roll is all about the people – and if the fans loved it, then that's all that matters. "We got to put your dad's face in front of another 100 million people that night and keep his legacy alive," he said.

Defending his intentions for the performance, the singer said: 'I think the strangest thing about that was all I was trying to do was my best for your old man, because he gave me such a gift'

In a parting shot, Yungblud slammed The Darkness for trying to insert themselves into the conversation: "You're just jealous because you're not as relevant as you used to be. You're clinging to the past, while we're forging a new future."

As the dust settles on this latest rock 'n' roll controversy, one thing is clear – Yungblud and Jack Osbourne are standing up for what they believe in, no matter who gets hurt along the way.

Jack (pictured) continued: 'They don't know the f****** story of it, the things we know, and I was kind of like, 'F*** you dude'
