Yankees Star Jazz Chisholm Under Fire: From Playoff Blunder to Party with Rappers
YANKEES STAR JAZZ CHISHOLM JR. PARTIES AWAY POSTSEASON HEARTBREAK WITH 50 CENT AND A BOOGIE
The Bronx was still reeling from another crushing playoff defeat, marking the 16th year without a World Series title for the New York Yankees. But it seems that one player was already looking to put the pain behind him - second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr.
Just days after the Toronto Blue Jays sent the Yankees packing with an American League Division Series win in Game 4, Chisholm was spotted living it up at Manhattan nightclub Petite Disco with none other than rappers 50 Cent and A Boogie. The photo of the trio, shared on 50 Cent's Instagram account, showed Chisholm holding up a bottle of Le Chemin du Roi - 'The King's Path' champagne, which ironically is an official sponsor of the Houston Astros, the Yankees' bitter rivals.
But what really had New York fans going wild was that Chisholm seemed to be having the time of his life, laughing and joking with 50 Cent as they celebrated their night out. Meanwhile, A Boogie posed in the background, looking every bit the Bronx native he is proud to be.
The photo was a stark contrast to the devastation felt by Yankees fans, who took to social media to express their outrage at Chisholm's carefree attitude just days after the team's crushing defeat. One fan posted: "What the hell is he doing having fun!!!! He's supposed to be clinically depressed now that we lost!!!!!!" while another urged him to "just chill a little bit and reflect on the season."
Others were equally as upset, calling Chisholm an "Embarrassment to the pinstripes" and saying he was "already over the error." One fan even went so far as to suggest that Chisholm's playoff fatigue was evident when he was caught yawning in the middle of Game 3.
But what really got under fans' skin was that Chisholm seemed to be prioritizing his nightlife over his responsibilities on the field. With a season that saw him hit .242 and register 31 homers, it's clear that he has the talent to make an impact - but his inability to seize key moments in the postseason was a major letdown.
In Game 4, Chisholm had the chance to end the inning with a double-play ball, but instead made a costly error that led to two unearned runs for the Blue Jays. The blunder ended pitcher Cam Schlitter's night and two batters later Devin Williams surrendered a two-run single to Nathan Lukes, giving the Blue Jays a three-run edge.
When asked about the play in the aftermath of the game, Chisholm was typically humble, saying "I didn't think it was going to play the way it played... Been thinking about that since the play happened. Still thinking about it now."
But when he's not brooding over his mistakes on the field, Chisholm seems to be living large - and with friends like 50 Cent and A Boogie by his side, he's definitely going out in style.

The photo of Chisholm, 50 Cent, and A Boogie has sparked a heated debate among Yankees fans, with some defending the second baseman for having fun after a tough loss. But others are still fuming over what they see as Chisholm's lack of dedication to his team.
"The fact that he can just bounce back like this is a little concerning," one fan posted on social media. "Maybe if he spent more time focusing on the game and less time at clubs, we'd be in better shape for next season."
But with three months off before the start of the new season, Chisholm seems to be taking his time to unwind - and judging by the photo, it looks like he's going out in style.
