Wynonna Judd's Daughter Accuses: Singer 'Never a Mother'
Wynonna Judd's Daughter Unleashes Fury on Her Mother Over Alleged Cover-Up of Childhood Abuse
In a shocking turn of events, Wynonna Judd's daughter, Grace Kelley, has come out swinging against her mother over accusations that she covered up the alleged molestation of her own child. The 61-year-old country music icon's family drama is about to get a whole lot juicier!
According to an explosive interview with TheScholarlyNote.com, Kelley, 29, accused Judd of allegedly trying to sweep her childhood abuse under the rug. Kelley claimed that she was molested by Judd's then-husband, D.R. Roach, who was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery on a child under the age of 13 in 2007.
But here's the kicker: Kelley revealed that after her stepfather's arrest, Judd allegedly took her family to counseling, where the abuse was exposed, but only as an excuse to "report it to law enforcement." However, Kelley alleged that her mother's actions were just a ruse to cover up the truth.
"It was all just a big show," Kelley said. "My mom is rich, and she can afford to sweep me under the rug and abuse me at the same time. She's a good performer, but she's not a mother."
Kelley's scathing accusations against her mother come on the heels of her own troubled past. The young woman has had multiple run-ins with the law in recent years, including arrests for methamphetamine production, evading arrest, and driving while intoxicated.
But it gets even juicier! Kelley revealed that she was grateful to have stolen a pastor's van from his home in rural Virginia in October 2024 because it marked a turning point in her life. She claimed that she had been living on the streets and using heroin, but after getting caught, she finally sought help.
"I got sober in jail," Kelley said proudly. "And I owe it all to Pastor Kent Hart's wife, Megan. They took me under their wing and showed me the love of God."
Kelley even credited the pastor with helping her turn her life around, saying, "If it wasn't for them, I'd still be out there using." She added that she has since written a memoir titled Pronoia, which explores the opposite state of paranoia – where people believe others are working to help them succeed.
But Kelley's latest drama doesn't just stop at her mother. The young woman also got into some hot water in May 2023 when she was arrested for violating her parole and breaching a restraining order. She was later granted a short leave from jail to give birth to her daughter, Kaliyah, but had to return after the baby's arrival.
Kelley's latest arrest came just a few months ago in August 2024 when she was charged with misdemeanor counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a suspended/revoked license, and not using motorcycle equipment properly. But it seems like her mother is trying to distance herself from the drama.
Wynonna Judd recently gave an update on how she's raising her granddaughter during an appearance as a guest host on the Today Show in January. The singer admitted that she tries to avoid electronic distractions when spending quality time with Kaliyah, saying, "I don't have a computer... I'm raising my 2½-year-old granddaughter. I listen to her."
But it seems like Judd's parenting skills are being put to the test as Kelley's behavior continues to spiral out of control. Will the country music icon be able to get through to her daughter, or will this family drama continue to play out in the public eye?
Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – this family's secrets and scandals are about to spill all over the headlines!
