The internet has officially lost its mind over Hugh Jackman's singing abilities, or rather, lack thereof. A hilarious fan-created impersonation video of the Wolverine actor went viral on TikTok, showcasing his... erm... unique vocal talents.

In a 15-second clip that has racked up an astonishing 2.6 million likes and over 8,000 comments, Joey Morof takes on the role of Jackman, warbling through a rendition of the Beatles' "Golden Slumbers" from the animated musical "Sing". While some fans have defended Jackman's singing style (yes, really!), many have taken to roasting him mercilessly.

The clip, which has been 'liked' by 2.6 million viewers since it dropped on TikTok earlier this month, features internet personality Joey Morof mimicking the Wolverine actor

One viewer quipped: "Had to watch Hugh Jackman singing and you didn’t exaggerate even a little." Another chimed in: "I'm so glad u commented this cuz now I don't have to watch Hugh Jackman singing." And the pièce de résistance? A snarky comment that left no doubt about Jackman's, ahem, vocal prowess: "Maybe Hugh Jackman s*s at singing."

But, as with any internet controversy, not everyone was having a laugh. Some fans leapt to Jackman's defense, arguing that his singing style is subjective and doesn't necessarily reflect his acting abilities.

"Hey guys, there's a difference between you not liking him and him being actually good," one commenter said. "He has good sound and technique, you just don't like him personally. Not a bad singer."

However, Morof swiftly shot down this defense, clarifying that his impersonation was meant in jest: "No, I think he’s a good actor and probably a good person (I don’t know him personally), I just have an opinion and ears, and I don’t think his singing is the best. My comment was a joke."

But wait, it gets even juicier! Another TikTok user attempted to defend Jackman's talent by sharing a video of his recent one-man show in New York. However, this well-meaning effort backfired spectacularly, with fans taking aim at Jackman's singing once again.

One commenter snarked: "Why is he impersonating Joey [Morof]?" Another quipped: "[Joey] was right all along." Ouch!

The controversy comes just as Jackman prepares to wrap up his one-man show "To New York with Love" at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan next month. While some fans are undoubtedly looking forward to seeing the X-Men star live, it's clear that not everyone is convinced by his singing talents.
