Winnie Harlow Shines in Ethereal White at Cannes: A Fashion Icon's Journey
CANNES LIONS 2025: WINNIE HARLOW WINS THE RED CARPET IN A SHOW-STOPPING WHITE OUTFIT!
The stunning Winnie Harlow, 30, left everyone breathless as she arrived at her Fashion and Futurism event during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025 on Tuesday. The Canadian supermodel looked absolutely ethereal in a figure-hugging, plunging white dress that showcased her enviable frame.
Winnie's sizzling hot looks didn't stop there! She gave herself an extra inch or two by slipping into a pair of towering white strappy sandals that added to her overall glamour. Her ensemble was completed with a white leather handbag and a matching white and orange neck scarf, making her the belle of the ball.
But what really stole the show was Winnie's beaming smile as she took to the stage at the Meta-hosted event. She looked like she was walking on sunshine, and we can't blame her - after all, she's just getting ready to tie the knot with her basketball-playing fiancé Kyle, 29!
In February, Kyle popped the question with a stunning 8.5-carat, oval-cut diamond ring that he designed himself over three months. And get this - he asked Winnie to be his wife while they were on a private plane heading off on holiday in the Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean! Talk about making memories!
To make it even more special, Kyle filled the plane with red roses, balloons, chocolate, and champagne before reading her a poem he had written. And then, just when she thought it couldn't get any better, their families were waiting for them on the beach with dinner and a fireworks display! It's no wonder Winnie gushed to Vogue magazine that they're "over the moon" about their engagement.
So, how did Winnie react to Kyle's surprise proposal? She revealed that for a split second, she thought it would be cute if this was just an engagement. But then she remembered she's not the type of person who likes to guess or spoil surprises, so she just let herself get swept away by the romance!
Winnie and Kyle first started dating in 2020, with Winnie even moving from New York City to Los Angeles to be with him when he played for the L.A. Lakers. Now, he's joined the Milwaukee Bucks, and Winnie is often spotted cheering him on from courtside seats.
Meanwhile, Winnie has been killing it as a supermodel, storming some of the world's biggest runways. And we love how she's used her platform to break down barriers for people with Vitiligo, a long-term condition that causes pale white patches to develop on the skin due to a lack of melanin.
In 2023, Winnie reflected on how far she'd come since her early days working at La Senza and looking at models wishing she could be one of them. She told ET Canada: "It's funny to me now that I've actually created a lane for myself in this industry that there was never a lane set."
Winnie hopes to continue breaking down those doors and making it possible for others with Vitiligo to pursue their dreams of becoming a model. As she so eloquently put it, "I think the biggest challenge today would be still breaking down those doors that God bless, I was able to push down those doors to walk through."
