Wayne Rooney's Kebab Dinner with the Beckhams: A Surprising Invite!
Wayne Rooney Spills the Tea on His Wild Night with the Beckhams!
In a jaw-dropping revelation, Wayne Rooney has spilled the beans on his outrageous night out with the Beckhams - and it involves kebabs! The former England star opened up about his dinner party encounter with David and Victoria Beckham on his BBC podcast, The Wayne Rooney Show.
Wayne, who was just 19 at the time, recalled the evening when he, Coleen, and a few other players visited the Beckhams' residence. "We went to their house, me and Coleen, we were only 19 or something," he said with a chuckle. "It was like, 'What's happening here?' We had a walk around, and then I opened a door, and Brooklyn was right there...I bumped his head, and he started crying! I thought, 'Oh Jesus Christ!'"
But the drama didn't end there. Wayne continued, "We sat down for dinner with Becks and Victoria, and it was like...posh? No way! We had kebabs!" The Manchester United legend couldn't believe that one of Britain's most esteemed couples would indulge in such a casual meal.
Broadcaster Kelly Cates asked Wayne if he thought the Beckhams' choice of food reflected their more down-to-earth personalities. Wayne replied, "He's obviously a great lad, and Victoria's such a lovely woman...and they're funny! A lot funnier than people would think." It seems the public is finally getting a glimpse into the more lighthearted side of the Beckhams.
But that's not all - Wayne also shared another hilarious anecdote about his wife Coleen. "I remember the night before we were meeting up with the England squad, I was at Coleen's mum and dad's house...and I fell asleep on the couch," he recalled. "Coleen painted my toenails while I was asleep! And it was like this see-through glossy thing...I didn't even notice!"
Wayne recounted how, upon arriving at the England training camp, one of the physios asked him if he had painted his toenails. Wayne denied it, but the truth eventually came out when they examined his feet more closely. "They had to look at my toenails and paint them again," Wayne laughed. "And then we went out for the first training session...and I wore Steve Watson's boots! They were size 11, and mine was size...who cares? It was just a nightmare!"
The whole incident was so chaotic that it seemed like nothing could go right for Wayne those first few days of training. "I looked at my boots, didn't tell anyone, put three pairs of socks on, wore the boots, and I was okay," he quipped. "And then more boots were sent. It was just a series of disasters!"
