Valerie Bertinelli's Candid Look: A Terrifying Return to Acting!
EXCLUSIVE: Valerie Bertinelli Bares All: Actress Shares Terrifying Makeup-Free Selfie Ahead of Big Return to Acting!
Get ready for a dose of real talk, folks! The one and only Valerie Bertinelli is baring it all – literally! In a candid Instagram post, the 65-year-old actress shared a stunning makeup-free selfie, revealing her fears and anxieties as she prepares to return to acting after a four-year hiatus.
The One Day at a Time star took to social media on Sunday morning, sharing a radiant snap of herself lounging in bed, captioned: "4:18a call-time tomorrow morning? Maybe not happy per se, but I’m so grateful to be working." The post was accompanied by a video of Valerie wishing her followers a good morning, complete with a giggle and a nod to the sunshine streaming into her bedroom window.
But beneath the bright exterior lies a vulnerable soul. Bertinelli revealed that she's been feeling "terrifying" as she prepares for her big return to acting. In a candid confession, she admitted: "I thought I was doing a pretty decent job of walking and talking through the fear and anxiety... but my eyes never ever lie. You can see the fear and doubt in them."
The actress, who's been in the business for over 50 years, confessed that she's been grappling with self-doubt and fear of not doing justice to her new project – a mystery script penned by an "amazing writer" for Lifetime. But, as any true artist would, Valerie has vowed to channel those feelings into creative energy: "I’m gonna feel the fear and do it anyway... I'm gonna transfer the fear and anxiety into joy and excitement."
And what's driving this fearless (pun intended) attitude? A sense of gratitude, of course! Bertinelli shared a heartfelt message with her followers, asking them to share their own small joys: "What’s something small that makes you happy and/or grateful?"
As it turns out, Valerie has been reflecting on her past experiences, including her early days as Barbara Cooper on the beloved sitcom One Day at a Time. The actress, who won hearts alongside Bonnie Franklin and Mackenzie Phillips in the 1970s, revealed that her mother put her in acting classes to help overcome her shyness – a move that ultimately led to her breakout role.
Fast-forward to today, and Valerie is still going strong! She's won numerous awards for her work on Food Network's Valerie's Home Cooking, including two Emmy awards. And now, as she prepares to dive back into the world of acting, we can't help but feel excited for what's to come!
