Unrecognizable Icon: Susan Ruttan Stuns in Hollywood After L.A. Law Stardom!

An 80s television icon was seen enjoying a rare outing in Hollywood this week after ringing in her 77th birthday - can you guess who it is?

EXCLUSIVE! 80s TELEVISION LEGEND SPOTTED IN HOLLYWOOD AFTER CELEBRATING HER BIG 7-7

The SCHOLARLYNOTE.COM has exclusively spotted a true Hollywood icon, Susan Ruttan, stepping out in style after ringing in her milestone 77th birthday. The talented actress, known for her memorable roles on iconic TV shows, was seen enjoying a casual errand run in the heart of Tinseltown.

But what makes this sighting truly juicy is that it comes on the heels of a stunning revelation: Ruttan never actually set out to become an actress! In a candid interview on the Traversing The Stars podcast, the starlet confessed, "I never thought about being an actor. So, it was something that came to me by accident. I'm an accidental actor, that's me."

It is Susan Ruttan! The actress notably played the role of Roxanne Melman on the show L.A. Law which aired episodes on NBC from 1986-1994; seen far right with co-star Alan Rachins

But what's more fascinating is that Ruttan's path to stardom almost took a very different turn. In 1986, she was offered a coveted role in the hit series L.A. Law - but it wasn't initially intended as a main cast position! "I wasn't supposed to be a regular on that show," Ruttan revealed on the Meisterkhan podcast. "I was hired as a possible recurring." However, Steven Bochco, the genius behind L.A. Law, saw something special in Ruttan and offered her a spot as a series regular.

Ruttan's tenure on L.A. Law would go down in history as one of the most memorable performances of the 80s. She played the lovable Roxanne Melton, earning not one, not two, but FOUR Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series! Her colleagues and fans alike praised her nuanced portrayal, which added depth and complexity to the show.

But L.A. Law wasn't Ruttan's only claim to fame. The actress has had an illustrious career spanning decades, with roles on everything from Quincy, M.E. and Best Of The West to Buffy The Vampire Slayer and 3rd Rock From The Sun. She's collaborated with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Miley Cyrus, Harry Hamlin, Alexis Bledel, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The star was seen stepping out for an errand run on Wednesday in Hollywood - one day after she celebrated her 77th birthday on September 16

And now, at 77, Ruttan is still going strong! Her most recent credit is the Netflix series A Man On The Inside, where she plays Gladys Montrose in a supporting role. This comedy-drama follows Charles (played by Ted Danson), a retired man who becomes embroiled in a secret investigation at his nursing home.

As Ruttan navigated her errand run, she looked absolutely radiant in a casual yet chic outfit - a black sweatshirt and dark navy sweatpants combo, paired with comfy sneakers and a cross-body bag. And of course, no Hollywood outing is complete without shades to protect those signature eyes!

But what caught our attention was Ruttan's next move: grabbing a bite to eat at the Burger King drive-thru! It seems even stars need a quick pick-me-up every now and then.

Ruttan kept it casual as she picked up a few items at a market while sporting a black sweatshirt as well as a pair of dark navy sweatpants

As The SCHOLARLYNOTE.COM wishes Susan Ruttan a happy 77th birthday, we can't help but wonder what's next for this beloved actress. Will she continue to surprise us with her versatility and talent? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Susan Ruttan is still an accidental actor, but now she's an accidental icon!

The actress completed the look for the daytime excursion with a pair of shades to protect her eyes from the bright sunshine
