Trump-Supporting Guest's Drunken Meltdown on Below Deck: The Chaotic Removal
Below Deck Drama: Drunken Charter Guest Removed by Police in Bizarre Incident
The drama never ends on Bravo's hit reality show Below Deck, and this week's episode was no exception. A drunken charter guest, Kelly Furey, caused a scene on the 60-meter St. David superyacht that even the most seasoned sailors wouldn't want to encounter.
Kelly, who appeared on the show with a group of friends, quickly proved to be a handful after starting to drink soon after boarding the luxury vessel. Despite being asked by both the crew and her fellow guests to slow down, Kelly continued to guzzle down cocktails like they were going out of style.
As the night wore on, Kelly's behavior became increasingly erratic, with the drunken charter guest refusing to listen to orders from the crew. In a bizarre move, she even jumped into the ocean without a life vest on, prompting her friends to intervene and save her from herself.
But things took a turn for the worse when Kelly started verbally abusing the crew, calling them "Democrats" in a drunken rant that left everyone on board stunned. Her friends, Helen Hoey and Michelle Barone, who were also charter guests alongside Kelly, revealed that they were shocked by her behavior, but not entirely surprised.
"We've seen this side of Kelly before," said Helen, who was the primary guest and had invited Kelly on the trip. "But we never thought she'd take it to this level."
Michelle added, "Kelly gets out of hand when she drinks too much. We've been with her on numerous occasions and it's always a mixed bag – sometimes she's fun, other times... well, you saw what happened on the boat."
The crew, led by Captain Kerry Titheradge, was forced to confine Kelly to the master cabin after her meltdown, before calling the police to escort her off the yacht. "We had no choice but to call for help," said Captain Kerry. "Kelly's behavior put everyone's safety at risk, and we couldn't let that continue."
The aftermath of the incident saw Helen and Michelle speak out about Kelly's behavior on TheScholarlyNote.com. While they defended their friend, saying she was a great person who sometimes made mistakes, they were quick to distance themselves from her antics.
"We're not gonna defend her behavior, but we do feel for her," said Helen. "Kelly's had some tough times in the past, and maybe this is just another example of that."
Michelle added, "We love Kelly as a friend, but when she behaves like this... it's hard to watch. We were there to have fun and relax on our vacation, not to deal with drama and politics."
The incident also sparked heated debate among fans of the show, with some calling for Kelly to be banned from future episodes. But Helen and Michelle remain loyal friends, despite their reservations about Kelly's behavior.
"If Captain Kerry is still at the helm, I'm in," said Helen. "He knows how to handle confrontation and situations like this – we feel safe under his command."
Michelle added, "We'll definitely come back for another Below Deck season – but maybe next time without Kelly!"
Below Deck is currently airing on Bravo and streaming on Peacock, with new episodes every week. Will you be tuning in to see what other drama unfolds on the high seas?
