Travis Kelce's Honest Take on Taylor Swift's Upcoming Album
SCOOP ALERT!
In a shocking turn of events, Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated album "The Life of a Showgirl" has been making waves among music enthusiasts and NFL fans alike! The 35-year-old songstress' latest masterpiece is set to drop on October 3rd, but only a select few have had the privilege of getting a sneak peek.
And one of them just happens to be none other than Kansas City Chiefs football star Travis Kelce! In an exclusive chat with his brother Jason's New Heights podcast, the 35-year-old athlete spilled all the juicy details about Taylor's upcoming album. We've got the tea, and it's piping hot!
Travis, who is also Taylor's fiancé (yes, you read that right!), couldn't help but gush about the album's "poetic melodies" and "fun pop beats." He even confessed to dancing around his house while jamming out to the new tunes! When asked about his favorite song on the album, Travis playfully dodged a direct answer, saying, "I'm not a politician, Jason!" But did reveal that he's particularly fond of the track "Opalite."
But what really got our attention was when Jason asked Travis what fans would be doing while listening to the album. And his response? A straightforward, yet utterly charming, "It's music, Jason! You can listen to it at any time of the day." Easy, right?
The news comes hot on the heels of Taylor announcing her album earlier this month on... you guessed it – Travis' podcast New Heights! Yes, folks, we're talking about a serious Swiftie-fanboy move here. And if that wasn't enough, Travis got to experience the album's first listen with only five people in the room: himself, Taylor, Tree Paine (Taylor's publicist), an unidentified studio engineer, and Max Martin and Shellback (who produced the music).
According to our insider, Taylor went all out to keep the album under wraps. "She made her label wait to hear the album as she didn't want any disturbances." Talk about secrecy! And if you're wondering how she managed to keep it all hidden, well, let's just say Taylor has a few tricks up her sleeve.
As we know from past experience, Taylor Swift is no stranger to covert operations. She even gave us a glimpse into her mastermind ways during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2020. When asked about the code names she used for her albums Folklore and Evermore (which were actually called "Woodvale" and "November," respectively), Taylor revealed that she came up with the fake titles as a way to throw off potential leakers.
"I didn't tell anybody the album title until right before it came out. So, I came up with a fake code name... chose Woodvale, wanted to see how it would look on the album covers, mocked them up, and then decided I don't actually want to have a title on the album covers and we forgot to take the fake code name off one of the covers."
It's clear that Taylor has learned a thing or two about keeping secrets over the years. And with her fiancé Travis as her partner in crime, it looks like she's got everything under control.
