The New Orleans native took to social media on Monday to express his grief and gratitude in a heartfelt statement that left fans stunned.

Maine wrote that 'On July 16th I received a call that my son Isaiah (Zeke) passed away at his home in California from a seizure.'

In a post that quickly went viral, the 43-year-old Every Girl artist revealed the tragic circumstances surrounding his son's passing, describing it as "a pain I've personally never felt before." He prefaced his emotional statement by admitting he'd been struggling to muster the strength to share the news, saying, "I've been trying to build up the strength to put up this post since last night."

As reported on thescholarlynote.com, Mack Maine, whose real name is Jermaine Anthony Preyan, shared that his son Isaiah, affectionately known as Zeke, passed away on July 16th at his home in California. The rapper candidly expressed his shock and confusion, saying, "I'm still in shock and still processing the fact that he's gone; I'm still confused, still questioning life and why my child and not me."

Maine also found solace in the spiritual implications of Isaiah's passing, writing, "I know I am/was his father while he was here in the flesh but now he's ascended to rejoin OUR Father God in the spirit and his ancestors who also loved him dearly like his grandfather (my dad) and his grandmother."

The hip-hop community quickly rallied around Mack Maine, with notable figures like Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, Tyga, Lauren London, and Lala Anthony offering their condolences. As if the loss of his son wasn't enough, Monday also marked Mack Maine's birthday, as well as the anniversary of his father's passing in 2023. He acknowledged these milestones, saying, "For those that know me know today's my birthday and also the day my pops passed... It's been 2 years since he's transitioned but it feels like 2,000."
