The drama unfolded when Tori's dentist-turned-friend Kevin approached her about setting up the unlikely couple. "There was a time that [my friend and dentist] Kevin was friends with him when they were both trying to be sober," Tori shared on Monday's episode of her podcast, aptly titled misSPELLING (we're guessing she has some fun with spelling-related puns). "Kevin said, 'Charlie wants to ask you on a date.'"

Tori's initial hesitation was understandable, but she eventually agreed to meet Charlie for dinner at an Italian restaurant - with Kevin and his parents in tow. While the date didn't exactly spark a romance between Tori and Charlie, she couldn't help but be impressed by his intelligence.

"His intelligence was off the charts," Tori gushed. "Unimaginably intelligent... And his humor! Talk about charming, smart, funny, witty. This guy was it." It seems that despite their failed romantic connection, Tori genuinely admired Charlie's intellect and charisma.

This bombshell revelation comes on the heels of Charlie Sheen's latest project: a Netflix documentary (aka Charlie Sheen) and a memoir, The Life of Sheen: A Memoir. In his book, Charlie recounts some wild stories about his past, including one particularly interesting anecdote that Tori addressed on her podcast.

In an excerpt from his memoir, Charlie writes about hiding out from the law following a run-in with authorities. Tori shared that Kevin approached her in her laundry room and asked for a favor: could she help hide Charlie? As if the situation wasn't already precarious enough, Tori revealed that the police were actively searching for Charlie, even going so far as to send helicopters to scour the area.

Tori opted not to get involved, citing concerns about being implicated in any potential wrongdoing. "This was bad news," she said. "They're actively searching for him... What if I were to hide him?" Charlie later wrote in his book that he couldn't blame Tori for declining - and even joked about what might have been if she had agreed.

But let's be real: this isn't the first time we've heard about Charlie Sheen's tumultuous past. In fact, it seems like he's made a career out of living life on the edge (or at least, that was true until recently). Speaking with Page Six, Charlie revealed that he's been sober for an impressive eight years and has even taken things to the next level by adopting a celibate lifestyle.

As for what sparked his decision to get clean, Charlie credits his daughter Sami, 21. In his memoir, he details the moment when he knew he had to quit drinking: December 10, 2017 - a day that would go down in history as the day he finally realized he needed help. "It was like being stuck on a treadmill," Charlie wrote about his struggles with addiction. "I'd never mixed up the cups with the wheel" (a bizarre reference to getting sober).

Charlie shares five children with various partners, including Sami and Lola Sheen, 20, with Richards; Bob and Max Sheen, 16, twins whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Mueller; and Cassandra Estevez, 40, who is his daughter with high school sweetheart Paula Profit. With such a complicated past, it's impressive that Charlie has turned things around - and we're rooting for him to keep on keeping on.
