The Rock and Emily Blunt's Glamorous London Night: Red Carpet Magic!

Dwayne Johnson made a rare red carpet appearance with his daughter Ava Raine, at The Smashing Machine screening in London on Wednesday

THE ROCK GETS HIS GROOVE BACK: DWAYNE JOHNSON MAKES RARE RED CARPET APPEARANCE WITH DAUGHTER AAVA RANE

It's not every day that we get to see Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, step out of his action-packed comfort zone and onto the red carpet with a rare sighting. And when he does, it's always a treat for the eyes! This time, he brought along his stunning 24-year-old daughter Ava Raine, who stole the show in a black strappy dress adorned with delicate floral detailing.

The father-daughter duo attended The Smashing Machine screening in London on Wednesday, where they were joined by none other than Dwayne's co-star Emily Blunt. And let's just say, these two powerhouses looked absolutely radiant! Dwayne, 53, flaunted his chiseled physique in a navy-blue suit paired with an open-collared white shirt, while Emily, 42, turned heads in a long-sleeved brown mini dress featuring an elegant train.

But what really caught our attention was the buzz surrounding The Smashing Machine, a biopic that sees Dwayne play the role of former amateur wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr. And trust us, he's nearly unrecognizable in this one! The actor lost about 60 pounds, donned prosthetics and a wig to look more like the 56-year-old Mark Kerr. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month, Dwayne revealed that he was "really hungry" to take on this role and transform himself into Mark.

"I had been very fortunate to have the career that I've had over the years and to make the films that I've made, but there was just a voice inside of me, a little voice that said, 'Well, what if I could do more — I want to do more and what does that look like?'" he confessed.

And boy, did he deliver! At a press conference after the screening earlier this week, Dwayne had high praise for the man he portrayed on screen. "Mark was the greatest fighter in the world at one point, but this film is not even really about fighting — it's a love story," he explained, becoming emotional.

Posing on the carpet, Dwayne, 53, looked effortlessly sharp in a navy-blue suit paired while Ava, 24, stunned in a black strappy dress adorned with delicate floral detailing

"It's a love story about Mark and Dawn (Staples, played by Emily Blunt) in this relationship, and it's a love story about Mark and the love that he had for the thing that he did — his struggle with trying to deliver [in the ring], his challenges and his overcoming." Dwayne also spoke about Mark's personal struggles with substance abuse. "As you know, Mark OD'd twice," he revealed, "and he's lucky to be alive — and that's part of why this story is so special."

But what really got us talking was Dwayne's recent health scare in June. The actor appeared on the Dr. Mark Hyman Show, where he spoke about turning to the functional medicine physician for help with a gut-related problem. "You said, very succinctly, 'I'm not going to treat your symptoms. I'm going to go deeper than that and treat the root cause of what's going on,'" Dwayne recalled.

Tests showed that multiple rounds of antibiotics he had taken in the past had damaged the lining of his intestines. "We basically rehabbed your gut," Dr. Hyman explained, adding that they gave him probiotics and plant compounds to help rebuild it.

So, did The Rock take his health advice to heart? It certainly looks like it! With a new role under his belt and a newfound focus on gut health, we can't wait to see what's next for this Hollywood powerhouse.

Other Stars Spotted at the Screening

Benny Safdie, Tatyanna Dumas, Jack Farthing, and Jodie McCallum were all in attendance at The Smashing Machine screening.

What's Next for Dwayne Johnson?

With The Smashing Machine hitting theaters soon, we can't help but wonder what's next for this talented actor. Will he be taking on more dramatic roles or sticking to his action-packed roots?

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – Dwayne Johnson is here to stay and bring the drama (and laughter) in equal measure!

The Smashing Machine, which will be released on October 3, is based on John Hyams' 2002 HBO documentary of the same name, which also captured Kerr's substance abuse
