Teresa Giudice's Panic Attack on 'World’s Toughest Test': A Mother's Fear and a Daughter's Resolve

Teresa Giudice has exited Special Forces: World's Toughest Test in just the second episode of the season

Teresa Giudice Ditches Special Forces Show After Meltdown: "I'm Not a Quitter, But..."

In a shocking turn of events, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has thrown in the towel on her stint on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. The 53-year-old reality TV personality was seen breaking down during a particularly grueling challenge that left her gasping for air and pleading with God to help her.

According to sources, Teresa and her 24-year-old daughter Gia Giudice were participating in day two of the selection process on Thursday's episode when they were tasked with climbing a 255-foot dam. The climb was tough enough, but things took a turn for the worse when they had to get into a submerged plane fuselage and hold their breath for 20 seconds before exiting.

Here she is seen in the water as her fear of drowning gets the better of her

Teresa, who has been open about her struggles with anxiety and claustrophobia in the past, seemed to be on edge from the start. "Please, God, help me," she was heard pleading at the top of the mission. "This is my biggest fear." Her daughter Gia, who is also competing on the show, tried to reassure her mom that everything would be okay.

However, when the plane began lowering into the water, Teresa's panic set in and she unbuckled herself from the fuselage and swam out. It was a move that not only cost her and Gia the mission but also led to some harsh words from their instructor, Sergeant Jason Fox, who called Teresa "stupid."

But it seems that Teresa's biggest fear wasn't just the challenge itself – it was the thought of watching her daughter face off against another contestant in the show's next round. As she revealed in a heart-wrenching confession, "I'm not a quitter, but... I don't want to see my daughter hurt."

Gia, who seemed to be taking things seriously despite her mom's departure, stepped up to the challenge and faced off against soccer player Christie Pearce. But in an interview with The Scholarly Note, Gia confessed that she was torn between following in her mom's footsteps and forging her own path.

"I have a problem when people leave," Gia explained, referencing her parents' past convictions for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. "My dad didn't file taxes for 10 years, my parents both got indicted... I was 13 when I had to take on a lot of responsibilities, taking care of my sisters, planning Christmases."

It seems that Gia's experiences growing up with her mom behind bars have left their mark, and she's determined to carve out her own identity outside of the family drama. "I'm trying not to be disassociated from them," she said, "but kind of just create my own path to stand on my own."

Giudice is seen running in her army style clothes and a hat

In the end, it was clear that Teresa's withdrawal was a relief for Gia, who seemed to be struggling with the pressure of competing in front of her mom. Will Gia continue to push through the challenges ahead without her mom by her side? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – this drama-filled season of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test just got a whole lot more interesting.
