Teddi Mellencamp Slams Online Trolls for Criticizing Her Love Life Amid Cancer Battle

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumna Teddi Mellencamp has unleashed a scathing response to online critics who've been trashing her personal life amidst her stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The 43-year-old reality TV star, who's been diagnosed with the most aggressive form of skin cancer, has found love again and is fostering a new puppy named Maverick.

But what really got under her skin were the nasty comments about her budding relationship and decision to foster a dog while battling terminal cancer. "People have been coming for me about fostering a dog and they've been coming for me for dating," Mellencamp revealed on an episode of her Two Ts In A Pod podcast, hosted by Tamra Judge.

DailyMail.com recently exclusively caught sight of the 43-year-old in a clinch with her a new beau (pictured), and she has since confirmed she has a man in her life

The critics, who seem to think Mellencamp should be focusing solely on her health and family, had some choice words for the mom of three. "The only thing she should be worrying about right now are her kids and staying alive. How in the world could she be dating?" one online troll exclaimed.

But Mellencamp wasn't having it. She fired back, "If I want to put myself in a situation where I'm staying busy so I'm not getting depressed, why have a problem with that? And clearly I'm not going on dates while my kids are sitting here, looking up, waiting to hang out with me."

Judge chimed in, defending Mellencamp's decision to move forward with her life despite her health crisis. "So when [her ex-husband Edwin Arroyave] has the kids, what is she supposed to do? Sit in bed and cry about her health? People are just - if you're not in this situation, shut up."

The 43-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been battling brain cancer since February

Mellencamp confessed that while she'd like to say the criticism doesn't bother her, it does. "When people wrote: 'Doesn't she know she has terminal cancer? Why the f* would she even be dating anyone?' I mean, come on." She recalled a conversation with her doctor who told her not to think about her cancer as terminal, but rather focus on living in the present and finding joy.

And it seems Mellencamp is taking her doctor's advice to heart. Despite her diagnosis, she's been feeling better thanks to regular workouts and fostering Maverick, which has brought happiness to her children. "I'm probably working out four or five times a week," she revealed. "Fostering this puppy has been really nice. It's given the kids a lot of happiness."

The photos of Mellencamp's new beau, who's been seen with her on multiple occasions, have sparked plenty of interest among fans and media outlets alike. The two were spotted jogging together in Encino, California, amidst her ongoing cancer battle.

The broadside comes after Mellencamp was seen with Arroyave during their daughter Slate's graduation from 'lower school' in Los Angeles last Friday

Mellencamp's relationship with Edwin Arroyave, whom she shares three children with, is also making headlines. While they're still proceeding with their divorce, it seems they're putting their differences aside for the sake of their kids. The two were recently seen together at their daughter Slate's graduation from lower school in Los Angeles.

But what really caught our attention was a recent sighting of Mellencamp and Arroyave at an event together. The ex-couple, who announced their split in November, seemed to be getting along famously as they posed for photos with Slate, 12.

Meanwhile, Mellencamp's new boyfriend has been keeping a low profile, but sources close to the couple confirm that she's "very happy" about her new relationship.

Mellencamp announced her divorce from Arroyave of 13 years in November. The former couple share three children: Slate, 12, son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, four (pictured in 2019)

As for her health, Mellencamp has been keeping fans updated on social media. In April, she revealed some promising news: her tumors have significantly shrunk, and doctors believe she's just a few weeks away from being cancer-free.

But what sparked the interest of online trolls was a recent sighting of Mellencamp with horse trainer Simon Schoreder, who was allegedly involved in an affair that led to her divorce from Arroyave. It seems some fans couldn't let go of the drama surrounding her split and are now turning their attention to her new relationship.

In related news, horse trainer Schoreder's wife Karli Postel has filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The couple's separation was listed as September 22, 2024, nearly two months after Mellencamp and Arroyave announced their split.

Mellencamp finally broke her silence on the end of her marriage in February, revealing that she had been struggling with feelings of guilt and insecurity throughout their relationship. "Me and Edwin had some of the most amazing years and the most amazing times, and when we met it was hot and it was all the things," she confessed.

But what really sets Mellencamp apart is her determination to live life to the fullest despite her health crisis. As she told fans in a recent video on social media, "I'm just thinking about all the goals that I have for the future for myself and for my kids."

And it's clear that she's already working towards those goals – whether it's finding love again or fostering a new furry friend. One thing's for sure: Teddi Mellencamp is not letting her stage 4 cancer diagnosis get in the way of living life to the fullest.
