Tears at the Emmys: Melrose Place's Grant Show Emotionally Supports Wife Katherine LaNasa's Win

The Iowa-born beauty and Zuniga gave an update on CBS Studios developing a Melrose Place reboot executive produced by them and starring them as well as Locklear: 'We want it as much as the fans want it'

SPOILER ALERT: EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN AT THE EMMYS!

The 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were filled with tears, laughter, and plenty of glamour on Sunday evening, but none as dramatic as Grant Show's breakdown when his wife Katherine LaNasa took home the coveted Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award for her role in The Pitt. The blonde bombshell, who plays charge nurse Dana Evans on the hit series, was visibly overwhelmed with emotion as she accepted her award.

But what made this moment even sweeter is that Grant was right there to support his wife every step of the way – or should we say, every tear? As Katherine took the stage, she couldn't help but give a heartfelt shout-out to her doting husband. "Thank you to my beautiful husband Grant Show for helping me always with everything," she gushed, her voice trembling with gratitude.

It was Grant Show, who played Jake Hanson on the hit series; he was on the Heather Locklear and Courtney Thorne-Smith series from 1992 until 1997

The lovebirds have been married since 2012, and it's clear that their relationship is still as strong as ever. But what we didn't know was that Katherine has been quietly slaying the game in the acting world, landing her first-ever Emmy nomination for her role on The Pitt. And let's just say she's making up for lost time – big time!

As Katherine gave her acceptance speech, she was effusive in her praise for her team and producer John Wells, who "elevates everything." She also took a moment to thank the incomparable Noah Wyle, no doubt for his wisdom and guidance throughout her career. And when she said "it's crazy" to be one of the nominees, we couldn't help but wonder – what was going through her mind?

But let's get back to Grant Show – the man of the hour (or should I say, the man of the moment?). This seasoned actor has been working in the industry for decades, with his first major role on the daytime soap opera Ryan's Hope back in 1984. He then went on to star as Jake Hanson on Melrose Place from 1992 until 1997, opposite fellow heartthrob Heather Locklear.

The waterworks started when his wife Katherine LaNasa took home an Emmy for her acting on The Pitt. The blonde was in the category Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

And did you know that Grant had a secret crush on none other than Yasmine Bleeth, his co-star on Ryan's Hope? Ah, the drama! After leaving Melrose Place, he went on to appear in a string of TV shows and movies, including Beverly Hills, 90210, Blessed Assurance with Cicely Tyson, Between Love and Honor with Robert Loggia, Homeland Security with Tom Skerritt, Point Pleasant, Six Feet Under, Beautiful People, Dirt, Swingtown, Private Practice, Accidentally on Purpose, and Big Love.

Fast forward to 2017, when Grant took on the role of Blake Carrington in the rebooted soap opera Dynasty. And let's just say he brought his A-game – or should I say, his B-cup game? We can't help but wonder what went down behind the scenes on this dramatic series!

As for Katherine LaNasa, we're loving her under-the-radar rise to fame. Her co-stars on The Pitt must be thrilled to have her as part of their team – after all, who wouldn't want an Emmy-winning actress on board? We can only imagine what's next for this talented couple – maybe even a spin-off show or two?

The 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were filled with excitement and drama, but none more so than Grant Show's emotional breakdown when his wife took home the prize. Will we see more of Katherine LaNasa in the future? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure – she's got our attention now!
