Taylor Swift Unveils Wedding Secrets: Ed Sheeran Performance and More!
TAYLOR SWIFT UNLEASHES THE TEA: Pop Star Spills Juicy Details About Upcoming Wedding to Travis Kelce, Engagement Ring, and More
It's been a whirlwind morning for fans of Taylor Swift as she dropped her highly-anticipated new album, The Life Of A Showgirl, at 5am (GMT). But what really got everyone talking was her candid conversation about her upcoming nuptials with football star Travis Kelce on various British radio stations.
The American songstress, 35, has been riding high since announcing her engagement to the 6ft 6in hunk in August. And as she promoted her new album, Taylor didn't hold back on sharing juicy details about their romance, including who will be performing at their "destination wedding" and what's planned for the hen do.
First up was a chat with BBC Radio 1's Greg James, where Taylor surprised him by inviting him to attend the big day. When asked if he'd be picked up by Travis, Taylor slyly replied that it would happen "as soon as he sees you at our wedding." Greg's eyes popped out of his head, and he exclaimed, "Woah, woah! Am I coming?" Taylor just smiled mischievously and said, "Obviously!" before teasing him that she'd share the details later.
The conversation continued across several radio stations, including Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, Will Best, and James Barr. When asked about her good friend Ed Sheeran's potential performance at the wedding, Taylor candidly admitted it would be hard for him to resist, saying, "I mean, it would be hard to keep him from it! He's like, 'I'm always being asked to sing at weddings,' and you're like, 'Ed, if there's a stage you know that you'll be on it!'"
But what really got fans buzzing was the conversation about her engagement ring. Designed by Travis with jeweler Kendrik Lubek, Taylor revealed that she had shown him a video of the designer's work 18 months before he popped the question. When she saw the ring, she gasped and exclaimed, "I know who made this! I know who made this!" She also gushed about how her fiancé listened to her needs and preferences when designing the ring, saying, "It was like, you really know me! You didn't even know what I wanted, but somehow you did!"
When asked if she's always been the type of person to obsess over weddings, Taylor confessed that it wasn't until she met Travis that she started thinking about her big day. "I actually never thought about what I would do, what I would want, until I met the person," she said. Emma Bunton, co-hosting Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston, chimed in and said, "Taylor's got such a good girl gang – their hen do is going to be epic!" Taylor laughed and admitted that they're all scattered across the world, but promised it will be an unforgettable celebration.
As fans eagerly await more updates on the wedding, Taylor opened up about her songwriting process and how having a supportive partner like Travis has fueled her creativity. She revealed that she had a fear early in her career that she wouldn't be able to write if she wasn't miserable in her personal life. But now, with Travis by her side, she feels more inspired than ever. "This album is like catching lightning in a bottle," she said. "Every time we were writing songs for this record, it was like magic."
With The Life Of A Showgirl dropping today, fans can expect an album that's a perfect snapshot of Taylor's life right now – and we couldn't be more excited! Stay tuned for more updates on her wedding, engagement ring, and all things Taylor Swift.
