Taylor Swift's Royal Scandal and Family Drama: The Tea Spilled on New Heights Podcast

In a jaw-dropping episode of her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights, Taylor Swift unleashed some juicy gossip about her high-profile meet-up with Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their adorable kids. But it was her hilarious roast of her beau's brother Jason that stole the show.

The 35-year-old pop sensation couldn't help but giggle as she recalled Jason's neurotic meltdown before meeting the royal family at Wembley Stadium during Taylor's Eras Tour. "I watched him have this moment with his beer where he's just like, 'But I want to take it. But I know that I probably should not take it,'" Taylor laughed, mimicking her boyfriend's older brother.

'[Jason was like,

Jason, 37, later confirmed that Taylor was spot on in her portrayal of his pre-meeting jitters, revealing that he had indeed been worried about what to do with his beer and how to greet the royal family. "I mean, I just wanted to be authentic," Jason explained, trying to sound convincing.

Travis, 35, couldn't resist chiming in, sharing some hilarious behind-the-scenes gossip from their high-profile meet-up. "Dude, he was the coolest motherf*er," Travis gushed about Prince William. "He was so cool! I didn't realize Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be there, but they turned out to be an absolute delight to meet."

But amidst all the royal chatter, Taylor Swift dropped some bombshell family news on her fans. Her dad, Scott, had undergone a quintuple bypass surgery in July, leaving him with five hard blockages in his heart. Taylor revealed that her father was so down-to-earth about the whole ordeal that he even compared himself to a cat who heals itself after getting injured.

Taylor summarized Jason's mindset, which he confirmed was 'exactly' correct. 'If I don¿t have my beer, what do I do with this hand now? Or am I just, like, being authentic by having the beer? I would normally have the beer. Wouldn¿t they want me to be myself?' she joked

"I was like, 'Dad, cats don't have quintuple bypass surgery,'" Taylor laughed, recalling their conversation. "He was being the brave dad, the strong dad," Travis added.

As for Scott's recovery, Taylor shared some heartwarming moments from her time with him in the hospital. She recalled how he would FaceTime his friends all night, much to her brother Austin's dismay. "I said, 'Dad, you can't be on your phone that long, you need rest,'" Taylor joked.

The 35-year-old pop star also got candid about her mother Andrea's health struggles. After a brain tumor diagnosis in 2020, Taylor revealed that her mom had gotten a new knee replacement surgery recently. "She's doing great," Taylor said, before correcting herself. "We're not quite at scampering yet, but she's doing great."

Travis, who also posed in a selfie with his girlfriend and the Royal Family members, said at the time on New Heights that he was confused about the official protocol for greeting the Royals

In a bizarre twist, the singer-songwriter also shared some surprising news about her parents' health upgrades over the summer. "I'm calling it the summer of my parental upgrades," Taylor joked. "We're just upgrading the parents, making sure they live to be at least 186 years old, because they're two of my best friends and I just adore them."

As for what's next for Taylor Swift, fans are eagerly awaiting her new album The Life Of A Showgirl. With this latest episode of New Heights, it's clear that the singer-songwriter is ready to take on anything life throws at her – including a new album, a sold-out tour, and some serious family drama.
