BOMBSHELL! Tarek El Moussa's Battery Charges Dropped Amidst Shocking Casino Scandal

The drama just keeps unfolding for reality TV star Tarek El Moussa, as his misdemeanor battery case has been dismissed after a shocking altercation at The Palazzo at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. But don't think for a second that this is the end of the road for Tarek - we've got all the juicy details on what really went down in that fateful night.

According to court records obtained by The Scholarly Note, El Moussa, 43, was facing a serious charge after he allegedly got into a physical confrontation with another man at the high-stakes gaming table. But it seems that Tarek's lawyers were able to negotiate his way out of trouble - literally. By participating in the court's Pre-Prosecution Diversion Program, Tarek was ordered to complete "impulse control counseling" and to steer clear of any further altercations.

The charges stemmed from an altercation Tarek got into earlier this summer at The Palazzo at Venetian Resort in Las Vegas (hotel pictured 2020)

But what led up to this explosive confrontation? Sources close to the investigation claim that Tarek was defending his elderly father when things went south. The drama allegedly started when the unknown male bumped into Tarek's dad's chair at a roulette table, upsetting him. But it seems that this minor incident snowballed into a full-blown brawl.

Eyewitnesses claim that Tarek drove his knee into the man's head, knocking him out cold. And to make matters worse, The Scholarly Note has obtained a Las Vegas Metropolitan PD report that alleges the entire violent bust-up was captured on casino surveillance video. But don't worry - we've got the play-by-play of what really happened.

According to the police report, the fight kicked off after Tarek's alleged victim allegedly bumped into Tarek's father's chair at a roulette table inside The Palazzo. The bump-in reportedly upset Tarek's dad, who allegedly turned around in his seat to face the man. After Tarek's father turned his back, the man allegedly tapped him on the right shoulder and said something that caused Tarek to get involved.

Tarek and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa shared video of their Las Vegas adventures at the time, which included a group snap which pictured the HGTV star's father

Tarek allegedly got up from his seat and "charged at" the man, pushing him back before the two got into a "fighting stance." But things took a dark turn when the man allegedly went for Tarek's legs in an attempt to take him down. And that's when Tarek allegedly proceeded to knee the man to the floor.

The police report claimed that Tarek "mounted the man's back and pummeled him with three blows to the head" before getting up and walking away. The alleged victim told police that he wanted to press charges, claiming that he suffered several injuries as a result of the casino altercation, including "purple and red bruises under the right eye and a cut on the bridge of his nose."

But Tarek's side of the story is quite different. In a statement to TMZ at the time, Tarek's lawyers said: "Tarek intends to contest these allegations in a court of law where he will assert his right to self-defense and the defense of his elderly and infirmed father." It seems that Tarek was trying to protect his dad from what he perceived as an aggressive threat.

A source told DailyMail.com at the time that Tarek was defending his elderly father when the squabble occurred (Las Vegas sign pictured April 2017)

And what about Tarek's wife, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa? She was reportedly present at the time of the altercation but had no involvement in the physical violence. We're not sure if she was just observing from a safe distance or if she was trying to mediate the situation.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that Tarek was cited for battery but wasn't arrested on the spot. And now, thanks to his successful completion of the diversion program, all charges have been dropped against him.

But don't expect this scandal to die down anytime soon. We're sure that fans are still buzzing about what really went down in that casino and how Tarek managed to wriggle out of trouble. Will we see more drama from the El Moussa family on the small screen? Only time will tell!
