Millie's new employers, Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar), seem like the perfect couple – polished, charming, and oozing sophistication. However, beneath their impeccable facade lies a web of deceit, and Millie soon finds herself caught in a deadly game where one wrong move could be her last.

According to director Paul Feig, the on-screen chemistry between Sydney and Amanda is "through the roof." He gushes about their talents, saying, "They are both such powerful actors, and they work so well off each other that you very quickly get sucked into their onscreen world."

Feig also praises the actresses' ability to convey complex emotions, noting, "It's thrilling to see their interplay as the Millie-Nina relationship changes over the course of the film." And we can't wait to see it for ourselves!

But what makes this movie truly special is its source material. Based on Freida McFadden's bestselling novel of the same name, published in 2022, "The Housemaid" captures everything fans loved about the book – secrets, tension, and twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Amanda Seyfried shared her excitement for the film, saying, "The movie captures everything fans loved about the book... We can’t wait for audiences to immerse themselves in the experience." Sydney Sweeney echoed her sentiment, adding, "I just can't wait for fans to see how hard we all worked to bring 'The Housemaid' to life."

As we mentioned earlier, this movie is a must-see for thriller enthusiasts. The plot is a masterclass in suspense, with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. And with Sydney Sweeney's character, Millie, being her "ideal" role – "complex, strong, and with a little something up her sleeve" – we know this movie is going to be a wild ride.

Millie works for Amanda's seemingly polished character Nina Winchester

Paul Feig sums it up perfectly: "Millie is someone we invest in immediately as she walks into what to her is a very foreign world of wealth and high expectations." Meanwhile, Nina (Amanda Seyfried) is "a portrait of unpredictability and extremes."

We also hear that Italian actor Michele Morrone has joined the cast as Enzo, the estate's groundkeeper. With this talented cast and crew, we can't wait to see what they bring to life on the big screen.

"The Housemaid" hits theaters on December 19th, so mark your calendars and get ready for a thrilling ride!
