Susan Olsen Unveiled: From Cindy Brady to LA's Streets!

The Brady Bunch star Susan Olsen - who played Cindy Brady (pictured 1969) was seen on a rare outing this week

EXCLUSIVE: The Brady Bunch Star Susan Olsen Reveals Shocking Truths About Her Time on the Iconic Show!

The curtains of secrecy have finally lifted, and we're getting a glimpse into the fascinating life of Susan Olsen, the lovable Cindy Brady from the classic sitcom The Brady Bunch. In a rare public outing in Los Angeles, the 63-year-old actress was spotted looking almost unrecognizable as she went about her day, sporting a casual yet stylish outfit and her signature platinum blonde hair.

But what's even more intriguing is what Olsen has been sharing behind the scenes. Just last year, she revealed that she nearly died while filming the pilot episode of The Brady Bunch in the late 1960s! In an exclusive interview on The Real Brady Bros podcast, Olsen shared the harrowing details of her near-death experience.

The 63-year-old actress looked nearly unrecognizable when she stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning

"I was gravely injured while filming the pilot," she candidly confessed. "I had a swollen face, black eyes, and my nose was severely inflamed."

The incident occurred just one day before the cast gathered to film the iconic pilot episode in 1969. Olsen, who was only seven years old at the time, was getting her makeup done when a lighting equipment fell directly onto her face.

"I looked like I was in a horror film," she recalled with a hint of humor. "My co-stars Florence Henderson and my mom were so concerned about me that they almost didn't let me work the next day."

Still sporting platinum blonde hair with bangs, she was spotted driving her white SUV

But what's even more shocking is that Olsen wished her family had sued Paramount for the accident, as it could have earned them a substantial amount of money.

"The saddest news is that we didn't sue Paramount," she said. "I would have made more off of that than the show!"

This isn't the only bombshell Olsen has dropped lately. In another interview, she revealed her long-held secret: playing Cindy Brady was a creatively stifling experience for her.

The star was beloved by fans for her role in the hit show

"I had to play a dumbed-down character," Olsen lamented. "It was something I had to accept, but it wasn't easy."

When chatting with former co-stars Barry Williams and Christopher Knight on The Real Brady Bros podcast, Olsen recalled a particularly cringe-worthy scene from the pilot episode where Cindy asks her mom if she's "sleeping with her mouth open."

"That's just how my career was," Olsen sighed. "But I'm so much smarter than that character, and I wish they had given me more depth."

Williams and Knight defended their co-star, acknowledging that Olsen's portrayal of Cindy was a product of the time period.

"You're so adorable, Susan," Williams said with a smile. "We knew you were smart and edgy, but we also knew that you had to play it down for the character."

Knight chimed in, saying, "You did have a 'doll face,' Susan. We all thought that!"

While Olsen's revelations might be shocking, it's clear that she has found closure and is now embracing her time on The Brady Bunch. And who can blame her? After all, it's one of the most iconic sitcoms in history!
