Fans of the superhero spent another $95 million internationally to see the new action adventure starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel  during its debut,  according to The Numbers

So, how did Superman fare internationally? Well, despite some initial concerns about the current political climate between the US and the rest of the world, the Man of Steel still managed to pull in a respectable $95 million overseas. Not bad, considering the challenges it faced!

But what's the real story behind Superman's box office dominance? According to Gross, it all comes down to good old-fashioned storytelling: "Gunn focused on the story rather than relying on big stars to attract the audience." And that, my friends, is a recipe for success! After all, who wouldn't want to see an original, comic book hero story brought to life in stunning fashion?

Now, let's talk about some of the other big players in this week's box office battle royale. Jurassic World Rebirth, last weekend's winner, took a tumble to second place with $40 million domestically. But don't count it out just yet - after all, it's still raking in nearly $530 million globally!

Rounding out the top five is Elio, the Disney animated adventure about a space-obsessed boy who meets space aliens. It may not have been as big of a hit as some other Pixar projects, but it's still worth checking out - especially if you're a fan of all things celestial!

And what's on the horizon for next week? Well, we can expect a whole lot of excitement with the debuts of Smurfs and I Know What You Did Last Summer! The former boasts an all-star voice cast, including Rihanna, Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, and Octavia Spencer - and let's just say, it's going to be a wild ride!
