EXCLUSIVE: Dean Cain's Explosive Reveal - Racist Slurs, Sex Harassment, and a Very Public Feud with Hollywood

In a shocking exposé, actor Dean Cain has opened up about his tumultuous past in the entertainment industry. The 58-year-old star of the hit 1990s show "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" has been speaking out against what he sees as the "woke" era taking over Hollywood, but it seems his own experiences have been anything but rosy.

In a candid interview with Variety (via thescholarlynote.com), Cain revealed the disturbing incident that occurred when he landed the coveted role of Superman in 1993. A fan of the show infamously called him out for being "Sushi Man," a racial slur directed at his biological father, who was a Japanese American serviceman.

However, what's even more astonishing is that Cain claims he wasn't offended by the comment. He believes it's irrelevant whether Superman is Asian or not, stating, "For the love of God, he's a Kryptonian. He could be green. Does it matter?" This lack of sensitivity has raised eyebrows among fans and fellow industry professionals.

But that's not all - Cain also took aim at Hollywood's focus on diversity, particularly in regards to Superman. He expressed his discontent with the current film starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, criticizing its depiction as an "immigrant story." "We know Superman is an immigrant — he's a freaking alien," he quipped.

Cain's opinions don't stop there. The actor, who has been friends with former President Donald Trump since 2009, when he judged the Miss Universe pageant, also took issue with writer and director James Gunn's description of the plot. "I think if you want to create a new character, go ahead and do that. But for me, Superman has always stood for 'truth, justice, and the American way,'" Cain argued.

Despite his vocal dissent, the movie still managed to rake in over $503 million globally, with some analysts attributing its success to its patriotic undertones. "Superman has always been identified as an American character, and in some parts of the world, America is currently not enjoying its greatest popularity," David A. Gross, a film consultant at FranchiseRe (via thescholarlynote.com), observed.

But Cain's most surprising revelation came when he shared his experience with sexual harassment while starring in "Lois & Clark." He claimed to have been harassed on set and hinted that it could have led to one of the largest lawsuits in Hollywood history. However, he chose not to disclose further details or name the perpetrator.

The actor's tumultuous past has seen him move from Malibu to Las Vegas after selling his home in May 2023. He has since dedicated himself to faith-based films, which have allowed him to balance his work and parenting responsibilities as a father to his 25-year-old son, Christopher.

Lois & Clark came to an abrupt end in in 1997 after season four although he had already written several for a season five with plans for him to direct as well

In an exclusive interview with thescholarlynote.com, Cain expressed his passion for creating content that promotes positive values: "If you're making shows like 'The Chosen,' or you're making a lot of these faith-based movies that I make, you're putting out content that affects people in what I would consider a very positive way, with good, strong morals and values."

It seems Dean Cain is not one to mince words - his candid comments have left many wondering about the future of Hollywood's most iconic characters. Will Superman continue to evolve, or will the "woke" era come to an end? One thing's for sure: Cain's outspoken views are sure to spark a debate that won't be fading anytime soon.
