Stress Levels Skyrocket for Taylor Fritz’s WAG Morgan Riddle at Wimbledon!

TWAG and social media star Morgan Riddle revealed that her stress levels shot up as she watched boyfriend of five years Taylor Fritz almost go out in the first round of Wimbledon on Monday (Riddle pictured supporting Fritz at Wimbledon in 2024)

Wimbledon Drama: Taylor Fritz's Girlfriend Morgan Riddle Spills on Stressful Match and Tennis WAG Politics

It was a drama-filled day at Wimbledon as US tennis star Taylor Fritz, currently ranked No. 5 in the world, faced off against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard on Court Number One. But it wasn't just Fritz who had a tough time - his girlfriend Morgan Riddle was almost beside herself with stress, according to her Instagram stories.

Riddle, a 27-year-old influencer and fashionista who has been dating Fritz since 2020, gave fans a glimpse into the high-pressure world of tennis WAGs. As Fritz battled to stay in the match, Riddle's stress levels skyrocketed, according to her fitness tracker stats. On an average day, she experiences 1 hour and 15 minutes of stress, but on Monday, that number jumped to a whopping 4 hours and 15 minutes.

A post shared on Riddle's Instagram stories showed that her stress levels spiked after an evening spent watching her man battle it out against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Riddle captioned the image: "Huh wonder why," hinting at the obvious - watching her man's back isn't easy! The match was suspended at two sets apiece due to Wimbledon's 11pm curfew, leaving Fritz on the brink of elimination. But Riddle is no stranger to drama; last year, she sparked a feud with Alexander Zverev after some rowdy cheering from her box.

The incident led to a five-set thriller between Fritz and Zverev, which saw Riddle take center stage once again. This time, however, it was Zverev who expressed his displeasure over the noise coming from Fritz's box, where Riddle was seated. But what really got tongues wagging was a curious social media post from Riddle that many saw as a reference to 2020 domestic abuse claims against Zverev - which he vehemently denied.

Riddle later deleted an Instagram video that included the caption: "When your man wins for the girls." She had posted a picture of the court to her story and wrote, "Cheer loud ladies!" But it seems Riddle's enthusiasm got on Zverev's nerves. After the match, Fritz downplayed the incident, saying his rival was just upset about some noise from his box.

Fritz's match was eventually suspended - much to his frustration - after he managed to pull back to two sets all in a thrilling match against the world no 36

But what really caught our attention was Riddle's response to critics who accused her of using her boyfriend's high profile status to boost her online profiles. In an interview earlier this year, she fired back at social-media trolls and tennis' "older wives" who look down on her for making content around Fritz's career.

Riddle explained: "Historically, a lot of the older wives and partners on the [tennis] tour have been very private, heads down, in the box. They're there to cheer on their partner and they didn't have super public personas." But Riddle is different - she's unapologetic about living her best life as a tennis WAG.

"I think [the backlash happened] because it's different," she said. "People expected me to sit in the box, be relatively private and not capitalize on my partner's career. And I kind of came in guns blazing. I was like, 'Well, f* that' and posted whatever I wanted to."

Romance: Riddle has been a vocal supporter of her man since they began dating - and last year at the tournament appeared to upset rival Alexander Zverev with her impassioned cries (Pictured: Morgan Riddle and Taylor Fritz pictured in Miami in 2022)

Despite appearing to be ostracized by other tennis WAGs, Riddle maintains her relationship with Fritz is as strong as ever. In fact, Fritz has even coached her on how to deal with outside attention to their romance.

"Taylor has always been really good about [blocking out the noise]," Riddle said. "When it first started happening, I would be like, 'Oh my gosh, look at what this person said' and he'd be like, 'Why are you reading that?' He went pro when he was 17 so he has dealt with that for so much, much longer than I had."

Fritz is coming off a career-best 2024, where he made his first Grand Slam final at last year's US Open. But it seems the spotlight only grew brighter after his relationship with Riddle became more public. "People write crazy things about us and our relationship," Riddle said. "[But] we really love each other. We have a very healthy relationship [and] nothing that anyone says online is gonna have any sort of effect on that."

As for Taylor Swift, the pop star was also in attendance at Wimbledon - but only as a spectator. Riddle couldn't help but wonder where "mother" was inside Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City during the US Open last year.

The drama continues to unfold at Wimbledon, and we can't get enough of it! Will Fritz make a comeback? Will Riddle's stress levels continue to soar? Stay tuned for more updates from The Scholarly Note.
