Steve Carell and John Krasinski Drop a Surprise on The Office Spin-off Set!
EXCLUSIVE: The Office Alumni Steal the Show on The Paper Set!
In a jaw-dropping turn of events, the cast of Peacock's highly anticipated spin-off, The Paper, was left speechless when none other than Steve Carell and John Krasinski dropped by to give their well-wishes on the first day of filming. Italian stunner Sabrina Impacciatore revealed that she and her co-stars were "fainting" with excitement as they received an impromptu visit from two of the most beloved stars of The Office.
According to sources close to the set, Steve and John had been working on a commercial for Lavazza, the Italian coffee brand, when they made their surprise appearance at Universal Studios Lot in Los Angeles. But what was behind this unexpected reunion? Was it mere coincidence or a clever publicity stunt?
As it turns out, Sabrina, who stars as newspaper editor Esmeralda Grand in The Paper, had been a huge fan of The Office and had even gone so far as to watch the entire series before landing her role. In fact, she became "addicted" to the show and would often find herself laughing uncontrollably at Michael Scott's (played by Steve) antics.
But what really set Sabrina's heart racing was when she met Steve on stage in the Broadway production of Uncle Vanya in 2024. The Italian beauty revealed that she had taken matters into her own hands, booking a flight from Rome to New York City just to see him perform. She even waited for him in the green room, nervous but determined.
"I bought a f*ing flight," Sabrina confessed to Entertainment Weekly. "I went to see the show. I went to the green room. I waited for him. He came out. I was shaking. I said, 'I'm Sabrina! Can you bless me?' I needed his blessing [for The Paper]!"
And bless her, he did. Steve's words of encouragement gave Sabrina the confidence boost she needed to tackle her new role. "He said, 'These people are brilliant. You are going to have the best experience of your life. You're going to be great.' He was giving me confidence," she recalled.
But what really got our hearts racing is the photo that emerged from the set showing Steve and John casually strolling into Sabrina's trailer, complete with big smiles and warm hugs. It's clear that this reunion was no publicity stunt – it was genuine, heartfelt, and totally adorable!
So, when can we expect to see The Paper on Peacock? Get ready for a sneak peek on September 4, when all ten episodes will premiere at once.
