Southern Charm Star Kathryn Dennis Freed from Jail After DUI Arrest

Kathryn Dennis of Southern Charm fame has been released from jail after serving a portion of a 30-day sentence for her DUI conviction

KATHRYN DENNIS BUSTED: Southern Charm Star Released from Jail After Serving 11 Days for DUI Conviction

In a shocking turn of events, Kathryn Dennis, the drama-prone reality TV personality from Bravo's hit show Southern Charm, has been set free from the Berkeley County Hill-Finklea Detention Center in South Carolina after serving just 11 days of her 30-day sentence for driving under the influence.

According to Us Weekly, Kathryn, 34, walked out of jail on Tuesday morning, looking like a million bucks despite her recent run-in with the law. But don't let her glamorous exit fool you - the mom of two has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately.

Kathryn was sentenced on October 3, and served 11 days behind bars for her role in a three-car crash on May 20, 2024

On May 20, 2024, Kathryn was involved in a three-car crash in South Carolina, and eyewitnesses at the scene told authorities that she might have been impaired. When police arrived on the scene, they detected a strong smell of alcohol coming from her person. Kathryn's glossy eyes also raised suspicions about her sobriety.

But what really got our attention were the contents of her car. Officers reportedly found an unopened mini Fireball bottle on the driver's side floor and an empty pink tumbler in the vehicle. When asked if she had been drinking or taken any medication, Kathryn denied both - but we know better than to believe everything she says.

The real tea came out when police reviewed footage of her arrest. In the video, you can see Kathryn wobbling around on one leg while shoeless, stumbling through the headlights of the patrol car. It's a miracle she didn't hurt herself (or anyone else)!

But what really got our jaws dropping was when police removed the Fireball bottles from her bag and threw them in the trash. Apparently, Kathryn was trying to hide her party favors - but they weren't very good at hiding.

When asked to take a breathalyzer test, Kathryn refused - but agreed to undergo field sobriety tests instead. Let's just say she didn't exactly ace it. The officer administered the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, which measures involuntary eye jerking, and noted four out of six clues suggesting intoxication.

The next test was the walk-and-turn, during which Kathryn struggled to maintain her balance. And when asked to stand on one leg without holding onto anything for support, she resorted to wind-milling her arms to stay upright. Talk about a fail!

At one point in the footage, you can see Kathryn muttering to herself, "I passed that fing field sobriety test. This is some b*t. Like, I literally am not drunk." Yeah, sure thing, Kathy.

But what really got our attention was when police searched her dog carrier and found several mini bottles of Fireball - some of which were opened and empty! Guess she likes to keep a stash on hand.

As for her kids, Kensington (11) and St. Julien Rembert (9), who shares Kathryn with ex Thomas Ravenel (63), they're probably just thrilled to have their mom back home - especially after the drama she's been causing lately.

We can only imagine what the poor kids must be going through, watching their mom's antics play out on TV. But hey, at least they'll always have a good story to tell when they get older!

Kathryn has been making headlines for her reckless behavior and substance abuse issues for years now. And it looks like she's not done yet.

Stay tuned for more updates on Kathryn Dennis - we're sure there will be plenty more drama to come!
