Sophie Turner Fends Off Criticism with a Mother's Wisdom
SOPHIE TURNER TAKES DOWN MOM-SHAMERS ON INSTAGRAM!
In a bold move, Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner isn't letting anyone question her parenting skills, especially not in her own Instagram comments!
The 29-year-old actress took to the platform on August 4 to share a series of photos from an Oasis concert. While most fans were cheering her on for enjoying a night out with her friends, one troll decided to come at her for being a "bad mom" because she has two tiny tots at home.
The comment read: "Lmfao, I think she has forgotten that she has two kids." And you know what? Sophie was having none of it! She clapped back almost instantly with a sassy response that left fans gagging!
"I'm so sorry sometimes I forget some people can't think for themselves," she wrote. "So... Get this... There's this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day."
And let's be real, folks! The fact that Sophie was quick to set the record straight is totally understandable given her recent past. After all, it's not like she and ex-husband Joe Jonas have been in a super-amicable co-parenting situation lately...
THE LOWDOWN ON JOE AND SOPHIE'S COMPLEX CO-PARENTING RELATIONSHIP
As reported by TheScholarlyNote.com earlier this year, Sophie and Joe were locked in a high-profile custody battle after they finalized their divorce in September 2024. But just last month, Joe revealed in an interview with motivational speaker Jay Shetty that he has nothing but love for his ex-wife... and is even giving her major props as a mom!
"I have a beautiful co-parenting relationship that I'm really grateful for," Joe said on TikTok. "Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true."
And what about the girls themselves? Well, it seems they're getting the best of both worlds with two amazing parents who are clearly dedicated to giving them the best life possible.
A LOOK BACK AT SOPHIE'S JOURNEY FROM MARRIAGE TO DIVORCE
The actress has been open about the challenges she faced during her marriage to Joe, including struggling with depression, anxiety, and bulimia. But what's even more impressive is how far she's come since then...
In an interview with British Vogue last year, Sophie revealed that being in the public eye made it super hard for her to process her emotions as a young girl. "I'm not very good at processing my emotions," she shared. "I lock them away and then they'll bubble up in years to come in some form of depression or anxiety."
But thanks to her support system, including close friends like Taylor Swift (who took Sophie's kids in during their split!), the actress has been able to find happiness again.
"I'm starting over again, rediscovering what I like to do, who I like to be with," she said. "And that's a really beautiful feeling."
So, to all the haters out there who think they can mom-shame Sophie Turner? Think again!
