Snooki's Unplanned Journey: From Jersey Shore Pregnancy to GKM Lifestyle

The Situation, Snooki, and JWoww: 15 Years of GTL, Tan-Tastrophe, and Life After Jersey Shore

It's been 15 years since MTV released the guilty pleasure that was Jersey Shore, and oh boy, have things changed! The original cast members - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Angelina Pivarnick, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, and Vincent "Vinny" Guadagnino - recently sat down with thescholarlynote.com to dish about their wild days in the Shore House, their journey since then, and whether they still live that infamous GTL lifestyle.

For Snooki, who was expecting her first child during season six of the show, it wasn't exactly easy being pregnant on camera. "I came into season six pregnant," she revealed. "It was not planned... I wasn't ready for it." But motherhood had a way of changing everything for the reality star. "Obviously I was excited to be a mom and everything [but] that changed my entire perspective on life."

But enough about Snooki's personal drama (for now). Let's talk about what's been going on with the rest of the cast since they left the Shore House behind. According to JWoww, the show ending when it did was "a full-circle moment" where everyone realized it was time to move on. "Everyone's growing up," she said. "We didn't have the family dynamic that we do now then, so I felt like that was the perfect time to end."

And what about their spin-off shows? After Jersey Shore wrapped up its original run, Snooki and JWoww teamed up for Snooki & Jwoww, a show that followed them living together in New Jersey. And more recently, they reunited with the rest of the gang for Jersey Shore Family Vacation - now in its eighth season! But don't think it's all sunshine and rainbows; according to JWoww, their relationships outside of the show are what keep them close. "I think it's everything outside of the show that makes us close," she explained. "Here filming - that's fine. But it's really our day-to-day lives that keeps the closeness and the realness."

But one cast member who's definitely changed the most since his Jersey Shore days is Mike The Situation Sorrentino. After a stint in rehab for addiction, he's been open about his journey to sobriety - which began in 2015. "That's when I was forced to embody a new version of myself and sort of like write my own comeback," he shared. And now? He's 10 years clean and sober, with a family of his own. "Not much has changed, I'm still Mike The Situation... now I'm just a very proud father."

But what about GTL - the infamous lifestyle that defined their days in the Shore House? Well, it turns out they've all moved on from that. Snooki joked that she's now living a GKM lifestyle: Gym, Kids, and Martinis. JWoww replaced the L with a K to represent her kids, while Pivarnick changed up the GTL acronym entirely to "God," "Time for myself," and "Lessons." And as for Guadagnino? He's swapped out gym time for running - but still can't resist a good tan.

In short, it seems these reality stars have traded in their GTL days for more substantial pursuits. But one thing's for sure: they're still just as lovable and drama-filled as ever.
