Simon Cowell's 'AI Deepfake' Moment: The Clap Heard Around the World

Simon Cowell has said he 'absolutely loved' doing The Jennifer Hudson Show's famous 'spirit tunnel' entrance despit being mocked for it online

Simon Cowell's Spirit Tunnel Spectacle Sparks Sidesplitting Snickers

The usually stoic Simon Cowell couldn't help but show off his goofy side as he made a memorable entrance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, complete with a hilarious 'spirit tunnel' celebration. And let's just say it was a moment of pure cringe-worthy gold for the pop mogul.

As crew members lined the corridor and broke into song in the style of The Greatest Showman, Simon couldn't resist clapping along to the beat - but not before awkwardly folding his fingers inward, sending social media into a frenzy. The usually sharp-tongued judge was left looking like a slightly-awkward AI deepfake version of himself as he attempted to keep time.

"I absolutely loved it!" Simon gushed when asked about the experience by host Jennifer Hudson. "I think I'm going to steal this for America's Got Talent - can you guys come and do it for me?" The TV personality even joked that he might do it twice on his way back, because who wouldn't want to relive that mortifying moment?

But fans were quick to poke fun at the 65-year-old judge's questionable clapping skills, with many comparing his awkward arm flailing to a kangaroo or a robot malfunction. "Is this his first time clapping?" one Twitter user quipped, while another joked, "What on earth is that clap style? Did he just invent a new language?"

Meanwhile, Simon's daily workout routine has been getting plenty of attention in recent months - particularly after he revealed he does 100 push-ups every morning to maintain that chiseled physique. The star was spotted at the America's Got Talent set earlier this month, sporting his usual gym gear and clutching his trusty Perfect Push-up handles.

But it seems Simon's secret to success isn't just about exercise - a doctor in Harley Street revealed he had been following a drastic diet change after being warned his eating habits were "the worst I've ever seen." The TV personality confessed that he'd been living on a diet of pies and red meat, but now sticks to a strict gluten-free and dairy-free regime.

"I went to see a specialist who said my blood work was like a schoolboy's from the 1960s," Simon revealed in an interview with The Scholarly Note. "He told me I had to cut out sugar, gluten, and dairy - so I pretty much stuck to it." And the results are certainly showing - Simon has lost over three stone since overhauling his lifestyle after a nasty bike crash left him with a broken back.

Despite the attention he's been getting for his clapping skills (or lack thereof), Simon remains unfazed. After greeting fans outside the studio, flashing a smile and taking photos, he seemed to be on top of the world - spirit tunnel antics and all.

So what do you think, folks? Will Simon Cowell be bringing this wacky 'spirit tunnel' entrance to America's Got Talent anytime soon? And more importantly, will we ever see him master that weird clapping style? Only time (and maybe a few dance lessons) will tell.
