Russell Crowe’s Tartan Tribute: Unveiling the Secret Behind His Wimbledon Tie!

Russell Crowe cut quite the dapper figure this week when he attended the Wimbledon tennis championships in London with fiancée Britney Theriot

SCANDALOUS CELEBRITY SPOTTED!

Russell Crowe, the hunky Gladiator star, left fans swooning as he made a stylish appearance at Wimbledon with his stunning fiancée Britney Theriot, 33!

The dashing 61-year-old, looking every bit the debonair gentleman in his dark blue suit and designer sunglasses, was all about showing off his Scottish heritage. And boy, did he ever make it happen! Russell paired his sleek attire with a multicolored tartan tie that had everyone talking - including fans on X (formerly Twitter)!

The Gladiator star, 61, was all class in a dark blue suit paired with designer sunglasses and a multicoloured tartan tie

When asked about the meaning behind his bold accessory, Russell gave us a glimpse into his roots. "The tie? Fraser of Lovat. In honour of all the Lord's Lovat," he tweeted, referencing the Highland Scottish clan associated with the area surrounding Inverness since the 13th century.

Fans went wild, praising Russell for rocking that tie like it was nobody's business! But what really got everyone talking was the tartan pattern itself - and whether or not it was actually from Clan Fraser of Lovat. Well, let's just say some eagle-eyed followers set the record straight: "Actually, it's Fraser Hunting Ancient, not Fraser of Lovat, but it's all made-up stuff so don't worry," one fan chimed in!

But here's the thing - Russell has a personal connection to Clan Fraser of Lovat. In January last year, he revealed on X that he was related to Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat, on his father's side! And get this - Lord Lovat met his maker in rather... dramatic fashion: beheaded at Tower Hill in 1747!

Sharing an image of he and Britney watching the action courtside, next to a close-up of his tie, Russell revealed it was a quiet nod to his Scottish heritage. 'The tie? Fraser of Lovat. In honour of all the Lord’s Lovat,' he wrote

Russell's roots run deep, and it seems his ancestors have quite the reputation. "He's quite the character," Russell wrote about Simon Fraser. "The Old Fox they used to call him. His Machiavellian ways caught up to him at the age of 80, & he has a claim to infamy as the last man to have the head chopped off his living body in the Tower of London. His death even coined a phrase!"

Now, about that engagement ring Britney Theriot flashed during their Wimbledon date... The Art Deco-style sparkler looked like it was meant for a queen! We're talking several carats and a platinum band - wow! Russell was clearly having the time of his life with his love, laughing and chatting together throughout the match.

Britney, looking stunning in her pastel pink floral gown featuring a pussy bow and polka dot pattern, added some mixed metal accessories to complete her look. We're talking a chunky gold watch and a silver knot bracelet - total perfection!

The actor revealed on X, in January last year, after digging into his family tree, that he was related to Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat (pictured) - the last man to be beheaded in Britain and responsible for the phrase 'to laugh your head off'

And speaking of wedding bells, rumors are swirling that Russell and Britney might be tying the knot in Rome! They've been spotted visiting churches during their lavish getaways, and insiders claim Italy has always been their dream destination for the big day.

"Italy was always going to be their wedding destination. Every time they go there, they come back more in love," an insider told thescholarlynote.com. "It's always been their dream to get married there."
