Royal Silence: Meghan Markle's Birthday Left Unmarked by the Crown

Meghan Markle celebrated her 44th birthday on August 8 this year - but not everyone sent her public greetings

MEGHAN MARKLE'S 44th BIRTHDAY: ROYAL FAMILY SNUBS HER (AGAIN!)

It's been a year since Meghan Markle last received public birthday wishes from the Royal Family, and it seems like nothing has changed this time around! The Duchess of Sussex turned 44 on August 8, but her big day was marked by... crickets.

We're talking about the usual suspects: no well-wishes from Prince William and Kate Middleton, no sweet tweets from Camilla Parker Bowles or Prince Charles. In fact, Meghan's birthday was completely ignored by the Royal Family, a stark contrast to previous years when she was showered with love and admiration on her special day.

The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and King Charles are pictured on Christmas Day in Sandringham in 2018 - no members of the Royal Family publicly wished Meghan a happy birthday this year

But that's not all - other high-profile friends like Beyoncé and Tyler Perry also failed to send her a happy birthday message, leaving many wondering if they're still on good terms. We dug deeper and spoke to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, who told us: "When Meghan turned 40, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall all sent her birthday wishes. But when she turned 41, it was a different story. The Queen didn't send a message, but the Prince of Wales and his wife did. This year, however, they completely ignored her."

It's no secret that Meghan and the Royal Family have had their differences in the past. Her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 sent shockwaves around the world, revealing a rift between the Sussexes and the Firm. And let's not forget Harry's tell-all memoir Spare, which made some pretty juicy allegations about his family members.

But despite all the drama, Meghan still managed to celebrate her birthday in style - with a small, private dinner party attended by close friends like Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, and Tyler Perry (who, conveniently, was absent from the guest list).

Beyonce wished Meghan Markle a happy birthday in 2021, when the former senior royal turned 40 (Meghan is pictured meeting Beyonce at the premiere of The Lion King in London in 2019)

We heard that Kelly McKee Zajfen, a former model and long-time friend of Meghan's, posted a heartfelt tribute to her on Instagram: "Happy Birthday to you sweet M!! You're pure magic!! A force of fun, light, and so much love." Meghan responded with some heartfelt emojis and a comment saying: "Thank you!"

But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows - we also heard that Meghan's friendship with Oprah has been a bit... complicated lately. According to Rob Shuter, a Hollywood insider, the connection between the two women has gone quiet. Maybe they're just taking a break from each other?

And what about Tyler Perry? Remember how he used to gush over Meghan on social media, calling her "Princess"? Yeah, well, it seems like that's all been forgotten now. No birthday wishes from him this year - but hey, at least his absence from the guest list didn't go unnoticed!

Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey (pictured attending the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022) was not seen celebrating Meghan's birthday - despite the two previously being friends

So, what's behind this sudden cold shoulder? Is it just a case of "royal etiquette" gone wrong? Or is there something more sinister at play here?

According to Richard Fitzwilliams, Meghan's actions have been seen as "extremely damaging" to her relationships with the Royal Family. And let's be real - after all those bombshell interviews and tell-all memoirs, it's no wonder they're not exactly eager to celebrate her birthday.

But don't worry, folks - Meghan still got plenty of love on her special day. Her friends Abigail Spencer, Jamie Kern Lima, Daniel Martin, and even actress Kerry Washington all sent their well-wishes on social media. And let's not forget As Ever, Meghan's lifestyle brand, which posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to its founder: "Celebrating the woman behind it all... She pours her heart, vision, and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder."

Serena Williams (pictured while appearing in Netflix's docuseries Harry & Meghan) was also reportedly absent from the Duchess' 44th birthday celebrations

So while it might have been a quiet 44th birthday for Meghan Markle, at least she's got some friends who still care about her. And hey, you can't blame them for being a bit hesitant after all the drama that's gone down between the Sussexes and the Royal Family.

However, some of Meghan's friends took to social media to wish her a happy birthday, including her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer (Meghan and Abigail are seen while appearing in an episode of Suits)
