Royal Rifts: Meghan Markle and the Queen's Verdict on Love and Loyalty

ROYAL FEUD: Meghan Markle's Cousin-in-Law Claims Queen Was "Worried Sick" About Sussexes' Marriage

In a shocking revelation, Lady Elizabeth Anson, the Queen's cousin and party planner extraordinaire, has spilled the tea on the royal family's thoughts about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage. According to sources close to the Queen, the monarch was "worried sick" about the union from the very beginning.

In an exclusive interview with thescholarlynote.com, Lady Elizabeth shared her concerns about Meghan's true motives behind marrying into the royal family. "We hope but don't quite think she is in love," she said. "We think she engineered it all." Ouch! It seems like not everyone was convinced that Harry and Meghan were meant to be.

But what really got under the Queen's skin was Meghan's refusal to share details of her wedding dress with Her Majesty. "Meghan wouldn't tell her" about the dress, Lady Elizabeth revealed. Talk about a royal faux pas! The tension must have been palpable when Harry visited his grandmother alone to smooth things over and later wrote to her with more wedding details.

As the wedding day approached, Lady Elizabeth claimed that Meghan became increasingly "bossy." "My Jemima is very worried," she said, referencing the Queen's nickname. It seems like Meghan's assertiveness didn't sit well with the monarch.

But what about Harry? Was he oblivious to the drama unfolding around him? Not according to Lady Elizabeth. She alleged that Harry was "rude" to his grandmother for 10 whole minutes during one meeting! Who knew being royal could be so... complicated?

The Queen's cousin-in-law also dished on the behind-the-scenes chaos leading up to the big day. According to Lady Elizabeth, Harry asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the wedding service without first getting permission from the Dean of Windsor. Sounds like a recipe for disaster!

As the tension mounted, Lady Elizabeth predicted that Meghan could "turn into nothing but trouble." And did she ever! The Suits star's marriage to Prince Harry was marked by controversy and speculation.

But what about Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge? How does she fit into this royal drama? According to Sally Bedell Smith, a journalist and royal biographer, Kate was the Queen's favorite. "She is going to be a really good addition to the family," Lady Margaret Rhodes, another of the Queen's cousins, said.

It seems like Meghan Markle wasn't exactly the Queen's cup of tea. But what about Harry? Did he blow his relationship with his grandmother? According to sources close to the royal family, yes, he did! The cracks appeared in February 2018 when Harry asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the wedding service without permission from the Dean of Windsor.

As for Lady Elizabeth Anson herself, she was a party planner extraordinaire who organized lavish celebrations for royalty and celebrities alike. She was one of the Queen's closest friends and even received a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order as a sign of her personal esteem in April 2021.

So there you have it – the juicy gossip straight from the mouth of the Queen's cousin-in-law, Lady Elizabeth Anson!
