In a jaw-dropping revelation, Prince William has confessed that 2024 was the "hardest year I've ever had" in an exclusive chat with none other than Schitt's Creek star Eugene Levy on his new travel show. The Prince of Wales, who treated Levy to a VIP tour of Windsor Castle for Apple TV+'s The Reluctant Traveler, opened up about the struggles he faced last year.
During their hilarious and heart-to-heart conversation, William revealed that life has a way of "testing" us, but it's how we overcome those challenges that defines who we are. When asked by Levy what he does when he's at home with his three tiny tots, William quipped, "Sleep! It's essential when you've got little ones running around!" We can't blame him there!
The preview clip for the upcoming episode on October 3 has been released, and it shows Levy taking an open-top bus tour of London, exclaiming, "Never felt more like a tourist!" Meanwhile, he received an official letter from none other than Prince William himself, inviting him to Windsor Castle for a private tour. The letter, dated January 2025 (yes, you read that right!), was written on Kensington Palace paper and signed by the Prince.
After their hilarious bus tour, Levy and William were spotted enjoying a pint in the corner of a pub – with Levy opting for a Guinness and William going for a beer. It's clear they hit it off famously! When asked about his toughest year yet, William revealed, "2024 was brutal, to be honest. Life is sent to test us, and being able to overcome that makes us who we are."
This isn't the first time William has spoken about 2024 being a particularly tough year for him. Last November, he described it as "dreadful" in an interview with The Scholarly Note. His wife, Kate Middleton, also opened up about their cancer journey, describing how they faced an "incredibly tough time as a family."
It's been reported that King Charles III has received treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer over the past year, and William has spent quality time with his father at Balmoral in Scotland. Looks like those two are bonding big time!
