Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in April 2025. Harry and Meghan have denied leaking details of the rendezvous between Their head of communications Meredith Maines and the King¿s communications secretary Tobyn Andreae in London on Wednesday July 9

ROYAL REUNION SHOCKER: Meghan's "Cheerleader" and King Charles's Aide Spotted Sipping Drinks Together, But Who Leaked the Meeting?

The drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has taken another explosive turn! In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Meghan's trusted communications chief, Meredith Maines, had a secret meeting with King Charles's aide, Tobyn Andreae. The rendezvous took place in London on July 9, but the question on everyone's lips is: who leaked the details to the press?

TheScholarlyNote.com has learned that Harry and Meghan are denying any involvement in leaking the information, but sources close to the couple claim they were frustrated when pictures of the meeting surfaced. It seems like both camps have some 'splainin' to do!

Meghan and her current PR guru Meredith Maines (pictured) share some unlikely parallels within both their personal and professional lives

Meredith Maines, who joined the Sussex team earlier this year, is no stranger to royal intrigue. In 2011, she tweeted about watching eight hours of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding coverage - talk about dedication! Her royalist credentials are further solidified by her claim that she "over-indulged" in the festivities after the big day.

But what's really got everyone buzzing is the fact that Maines has taken on a role eerily reminiscent of Sir Clive Alderton, King Charles and Queen Camilla's formidable Private Secretary. Could this be a sign that Harry and Meghan are trying to curry favor with the Palace?

As TheScholarlyNote.com reported earlier, Harry and Meghan have been making some significant changes to their staff structure, mirroring the hierarchical system used by Buckingham Palace. Maines is now the head of household for the Sussex Royal Household, operating out of Montecito, California, and the UK.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams weighed in on the situation: "Harry and Meghan reportedly initiated this meeting, as it's clear that any contact with the Royal Family could have positive connotations... They want to be associated with 'reconciliation', yet previously have been so destructive."

The motives behind the meeting are shrouded in mystery, but one thing is certain: Harry and Meghan are desperate to rehabilitate their reputations. With the 2027 Invictus Games on the horizon, it's no wonder they're trying to heal rifts with the Royal Family.

As we previously reported, the Sussexes have been working hard to revamp their image. The hiring of Maines, a seasoned communications strategist, is seen as a major coup for the couple. Her experience in the entertainment industry and her love of horses (she's an equestrian enthusiast, just like Meghan!) make her the perfect fit for the role.

But don't count out King Charles just yet! With his diagnosis last year, it seems that he's been working behind the scenes to reconcile with his son. The question on everyone's lips is: did he know about the meeting and bless it? Or was it a rogue move by Harry and Meghan?

Stay tuned for more updates on this royal saga!
