Romeo Beckham Unveils New Tattoo After Split: Ink and Intrigue in Mayfair
TATTOO TANTRUM: Beckham Bros' Ink-credible Obsession Revealed!
The Beckham boys have been leaving their mark on the world, quite literally, with an impressive collection of tattoos that would put even the most seasoned ink enthusiasts to shame! In a shocking revelation, Romeo Beckham, 22, has added another tat to his ever-growing array, while big bro Brooklyn, 26, has been busy covering up old inks and getting new ones in their quest for body art perfection.
The tattooed trio's obsession with inkwork started years ago, courtesy of dad David, who got his first tattoo back in 1999 after playing for Manchester United. Little did he know that his love for tattoos would rub off on his sons! Brooklyn and Romeo have been racking up the tats, with over 200 between them.
Romeo's latest addition is a fairy to patchwork on his left arm, which he got during a recent visit to Certified Letter Boy, the tattoo parlour where most of the Beckham clan gets their ink done. The model was spotted leaving the Twenty Two Hotel in London, looking casual in a grey tracksuit and co-ordinated T-shirt that showcased his many tattoos.
But Romeo's not the only one with an impressive collection; Brooklyn has been busy covering up old inks and getting new ones. His most recent addition is a tat on his chest reading 'mama's boy', which he got to cover up an old tattoo. The self-proclaimed tattoo addict has over 70 Nicola-inspired tattoos, including a portrait of his wife on his upper arm and her eyes on the back of his neck.
In fact, Brooklyn's ink obsession has become so intense that it's affecting his marriage to Nicola Peltz. The couple had a rift earlier this year after failing to attend Sir David's star-studded 50th birthday celebration in west London. Brooklyn even went as far as calling himself the 'wife guy' who does everything for his spouse.
But what's behind the Beckham boys' tattoo craze? For Romeo, it seems that he's taking inspiration from his dad, with many of his tattoos being angelic and religion-inspired, just like David's. David, on the other hand, has been influenced by various sources, including Spice Girl Mel B's then-husband Jimmy Gulzar.
David first got inked in 1999 after playing a few years without any tattoos. His first tat commemorated Brooklyn's arrival into the world, with him getting his son's name tattooed onto his lower back in classic Gothic script. The iconic guardian angel design on David's neck was added soon after, featuring Brooklyn's name further down.
As the years went by, David continued to get new tats, including a Latin inking on his left inner arm reading 'So that I love and cherish' and 'Spiritual perfection' onto his right. He even got a cross design on his back, celebrating his move to Real Madrid.
In recent years, David has moved away from crowded arms to create works of art on his torso, including a religious scene depicting Jesus being carried by three cherubs, believed to represent him and his three sons. He's also got a scene of a woman in a forest over the right-hand side of his chest and an image of Jesus below his ribcage.
When asked about how he chooses his designs, David explained, "They're about the important people in my life, who I want to have with me always." It seems that the Beckham boys are following in their dad's footsteps, using tattoos as a way to express themselves and honor those around them.
