Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, 36, has gotten engaged to GOP Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, 51

SCANDALOUS ENGAGEMENT ALERT!

Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, 36, is said to be over the moon after getting engaged to none other than GOP Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a whopping 15 years her senior! The power couple's fairytale romance has got everyone talking, and we've got all the juicy deets!

According to People (via thescholarlynote.com), Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, 51, popped the question in a breathtaking lavender field in Provence, France - yes, you read that right! The romantic getaway was allegedly orchestrated by Brian himself, who must have been determined to make this proposal one for the books.

'What I could have asked for, dreamed up myself, he did without even asking. It's really beautiful. Brian did such an amazing job. I’m so impressed with him,' Jacqui gushed

The proposal happened on June 29th, and it's said that Brian whisked Jacqui away from their hotel in Nice at the crack of dawn (1:30 am) to drive over two hours to Valensole before sunrise. Talk about a romantic getaway!

As they arrived at the stunning lavender fields, Brian told Jacqui he was going to take some photos of her... little did she know, he had something special planned! With a photographer using a drone to capture the moment, Brian got down on one knee and presented Jacqui with a beautiful ring from a family jeweler in Portland, Maine. The stunning solitaire features a brilliant-cut round diamond on a six-prong platinum setting with a yellow gold band - talk about a blingin' good time!

Jacqui gushed to People that she was completely blown away by Brian's planning skills: "He didn't ask for any help from me or anyone I know. So I was really surprised he got it spot-on... What I could have asked for, dreamed up myself, he did without even asking. It's really beautiful. Brian did such an amazing job. I'm so impressed with him!"

The couple started dating in 2021 and had their first date at the Kennedy Center Honors. They're seen in 2023

But what about the fact that Brian almost botched the proposal? Apparently, Jacqui had recommended they postpone their trip due to his Congressional duties, but Brian was determined to make it work: "He was like, 'We are going. We're going to the lavender fields. All I want is to see the lavender fields at sunrise,'" she revealed. "All the time I've known this man, he has never been desperate to see a field of flowers at dawn. So I had a feeling that [a proposal] was the goal!"

The couple started dating in 2021 and shared their first date at the Kennedy Center Honors - talk about an A-list romance! Brian, a former FBI special agent, has served as U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania since 2017. Jacqui joined Fox News in 2018, describing him as "the most principled, thoughtful and brilliant person I know".

"I love his brain. I love the way he approaches problem-solving and solving complex issues," she gushed to People. "He's strong and a man of faith, who brings me closer to God. He's sweet and gentle and kind - all of the easy qualities in a person that just make him a joy to be around and life brighter."
