Robin Wright Unveils Secrets to a Lasting Love at 59

Robin Wright has talked about what she doesn't want in a man. 'I don't want to worry anymore. I don't want to doubt, I don't want to suspect. I don't want all those things that we did in our 20s,' said the blonde. Wright was 24 when she first started dating Penn. Pictured in 2005

ROBIN WRIGHT: THE ACTRESS HAS FINALLY FOUND HER "PERSON" AT 59 - BUT IS SHE READY TO MARRY AGAIN?

In a candid interview with AARP's Movies for Grownups, Robin Wright has opened up about her past relationships and what she's looking for in a partner at the ripe age of 59. The actress, known for her roles in "House of Cards" and "Forrest Gump," has been married three times to Dane Witherspoon, Sean Penn (the father of her two children), and Clement Giraudet, with two broken engagements to Ben Foster.

But Wright is adamant that she's no longer searching for a husband. "I don't want to worry anymore. I don't want to doubt, I don't want to suspect," she said, revealing the stress of wondering if her partner will cheat on her has become too much to bear.

The blonde bombshell confessed that she still loves love, despite her tumultuous past relationships. "I'm such a romantic," she gushed. "You can go through all these distressing relationships, but we rebound, don't we? Our hearts rebound with the belief that it's still there and it can be achieved." Wright's words are music to the ears of fans who have seen her navigate the ups and downs of love on-screen.

But what about her latest romance? The 59-year-old actress has been living with architect Henry Smith, 52, in the UK for several years now. Wright met Smith at a pub several years ago and has since fallen deeply in love with him. "He's a sweetheart and just a good, decent adult," she raved. "That's exactly what I wanted."

Wright admits that she's smitten with her new man, but is she ready to take the plunge again? Not quite. When asked if she'll marry Henry, Wright firmly replied, "No. God no. Why? That's just unnecessary." It seems like the actress has finally found someone who loves and accepts her for who she is, and that's all the marriage she needs.

Wright also opened up about her two children with Sean Penn, Dylan and Hopper. The actress was shocked when her kids decided to follow in her footsteps and pursue careers in acting. "I didn't think they'd ever be actors," Wright said with a laugh. "My kids were on film sets their whole lives, and they said from a very young age, 'I'll never be an actor.' But sure enough, they're both actors now, and they're both really good."

Wright's son Hopper even gave her acting advice on one of his films! "He was directing me because he'd seen more of that," Wright explained. "He was coaching me!" The actress also revealed that she played a crackhead in Devil's Peak, but didn't think it would be awkward working with her son. "It felt so natural!" she exclaimed.

As Wright prepares to turn the big 6-0 next year, she's not showing any signs of slowing down. In fact, she's embracing this new chapter in her life and loving every minute of it. "I don't see it as the end of an era," Wright said with a smile. "It's just another number that's a little bit bigger. It hasn't shifted me in any way because I feel like I did that shift when I was 50, where I said, 'I'm going to do it my way.'"

Wright is currently starring in and directing her latest project, The Girlfriend, a thriller series on Prime that premiered last month. In the show, Wright plays a mom who's suspicious of her son's new girlfriend - sounds familiar? "My character has the perfect son—she's obsessed with him," Wright explained. "When he brings home a new girlfriend, she's suspicious. It evolves from there." It seems like Wright is drawing inspiration from her own life experiences as a mother.

As for what's next for this talented actress, Wright says she's happy to focus on her work and her relationship with Henry. "It's liberating to be done," she said, referring to her search for love. "Be done with searching, looking and getting 60 per cent of what you wanted." We can't wait to see what the future holds for this incredible actress!
