Rob L owe has revealed why he is determined to keep posting shirtless snaps of himself well into his 60s.

ROB LOWE UNLEASHES HIS INNER ADONIS: THE 61-YEAR-OLD ACTOR REVEALS WHY HE'S DETERMINED TO KEEP POSTING SHIRTLESS SNAPS WELL INTO HIS 60S!

The silver fox of Hollywood, Rob Lowe, is at it again – and this time, he's not afraid to show off his six-pack abs in all their glory. The 61-year-old heartthrob has been making waves on social media with his shirtless selfies, but what drives him to keep flaunting his physique well into his 60s?

In an exclusive interview with People, Rob spills the beans on why he's so determined to keep sharing his shirtless snaps. "If you've got it, flaunt it," he quips, echoing the age-old adage that seems to have become his personal motto.

'If you've got it flaunt it,' he said about his sexy sexagenarian snaps - seen with 29-year-old son John Owen

When asked about his latest shirtless selfie with his son John Owen Lowe, 29, Rob confesses that it all started as a lighthearted joke. "Lowe family tradition: self-indulgent shirtless gym photos," he jokes in the caption of his post last month. But what began as a playful competition between father and son quickly turned into a serious motivation for Rob to keep pushing himself at the gym.

"It got really competitive," Rob reveals, chuckling about the friendly rivalry that's sparked a new level of dedication in both him and his son. "Then we were doing extra sets, you know what I mean?" he adds with a wink. "It's a little bit motivating, and you've got to find your motivation wherever you can find it."

So, what's behind Rob's chiseled physique? The actor credits his workout routines and his long-standing partnership with Atkins for helping him achieve his health goals. "Atkins helps me achieve my health goals," he explains. "For me, the real value in it is whatever your goals are – whether it's losing weight, maintaining weight or replacing mealtime. The products just really make sense and are delish."

'Every once in a while, you've got to throw it down. You've got to be like,

Rob, who hosts the popular podcast Literally! With Rob Lowe, where he regularly welcomes A-list guests including Adam Scott, Jason Isaac, and Kristin Davis, has been a long-time spokesperson for Atkins. And when it comes to his favorite Atkins foods, he's a sucker for "the shakes" and "the protein bars." But don't worry – the West Wing star isn't one to deny himself a sweet treat every now and then.

"I have a sweet tooth, which is a brutal one," Rob confesses with a chuckle. "But I've learned to indulge in moderation."

In other news, Rob has been keeping busy hosting the Tubi game show The Floor, where he's won over fans with his charming on-screen presence. And in a heartfelt tribute earlier this month, Rob shared vivid memories of his grandmother Mim's battle with breast cancer.

'If you got it, flaunt it, use it or lose it, and it ain't bragging if you've done it. Those are my three go-tos,' he added

Rob, who was just a young boy when his grandmother was diagnosed, recalls the "uproar" it caused in their family. In those days, the odds were indeed against them – but as he recounts, his grandmother's determination and resilience paved the way for her to survive and thrive long after doctors had given up hope.

The actor, known for his role in 9-1-1: Lone Star, affectionately refers to his grandmother as "my beloved." And it's clear that their bond has left an indelible mark on Rob's life and approach to cancer awareness today.

In a poignant reflection of the lessons he learned from his grandmother's fight, Rob says: "She survived and thrived longer than anyone with her type of cancer in those days. Her success in the trial not only defied the odds but also paved the way for treatments that would later become standard care."

And he's passed the shirtless photo habit down to his son John Owen Lowe, 29

As we celebrate Rob Lowe's dedication to fitness and his commitment to spreading awareness about cancer – all while looking better than ever, might we add – one thing is clear: this silver fox is still going strong!

'Lowe family tradition: self-indulgent shirtless gym photos,' the Parks and Recreation alum joked in the caption of his post last month
