Ricky Gervais' Lavish £14.5M Mansion: A Peek Inside His Temporary Paradise

Ricky Gervais offered fans a glimpse of his huge garden at his £14.5million mansion in Hampstead on Monday as he shared a snap of his sprawling garden

RICKY GERVAIS' £14.5MILLION MANSION EXPOSED: COMEDIAN'S BREATHTAKING GARDEN AND TENNIS COURT REVEALED

In a bid to keep his fans in stitches, Ricky Gervais has given us another glimpse into the opulent life of this multi-millionaire comedian. The £120million net worth holder has been flaunting his jaw-dropping Hampstead mansion on Instagram, and we can't help but be impressed.

The property, which he purchased last year for a whopping £14.5million, boasts an incredible garden that's making us all jealous. Perfectly manicured lawns, flourishing flowerbeds, and a carport for his luxurious vehicle are just the tip of the iceberg. The pièce de résistance? A huge tennis court that's stealing the show!

The British funnyman, worth an estimated £120million, purchased the mansion in March last year and says a major factor behind the move was his desire for a bigger garden

Ricky, who's worth an estimated £120million, revealed in a vlog on X (formerly Twitter) last August that he ripped out the existing basketball court to make way for his new tennis obsession. And let's be real, who wouldn't want a tennis court in their backyard? The revamp also saw the removal of an outdated waterwall, octagonal pagoda, and retaining walls – all part of Ricky's Ground Force-style makeover.

But what's behind this lavish lifestyle? In an interview on X, Ricky confessed that his desire for a bigger garden was a major factor in purchasing the property. He admitted to wanting a tennis court "so we could get a tennis court," referencing his long-term partner Jane Fallon's concerns about living in the mansion when they're 80.

Jane, 64, had reportedly expressed her worries about navigating the stairs and potential future renovations. In response, Ricky joked about hiring a team of doctors, nurses, and security to live with them – because who needs personal space, right?

Their mega mansion boasts nine bedrooms, including a master bedroom with dressing rooms and his and hers en-suite bathrooms

This isn't the first time Ricky has spoken about his lavish lifestyle. He previously shared that their £10.8m Hampstead home was too small for their growing family, and they've since acquired additional properties in Marlow, Bucks, and two New York apartments.

The stunning mansion boasts nine bedrooms, including a master bedroom with dressing rooms and his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms. Other opulent features include a formal drawing room and dining room, a massive kitchen/diner, a bar, wine cellar, and even a gym with a "double height ceiling." Talk about living large!

But Ricky's not one to forget his humble beginnings. In 2017, he reminisced about their first flat in Kings Cross, which was above a seedy sauna – quite the contrast from their current digs! He shared: "Our little bed was in this room. I could open the fridge from the bed."

The comedian bought the mansion in March last year

Ricky's fortune has been boosted by his lucrative Netflix deal for After Life, as well as sold-out standup gigs and royalties from hit BBC comedy The Office. The US reboot of The Office, starring Steve Carrel as Michael Scott (Ricky's David Brent character equivalent), is also set to bring in even more dough.

In a 2013 interview with GQ, Ricky revealed that The Office has been a massive commercial success: "Yeah, [The Office US has earned me] more than anything else probably I've ever done. It's the gift that keeps on giving, syndication." It seems like Ricky's got his priorities straight – after all, as he joked about moving in at 80 with a team of staff, who needs personal space when you can have a tennis court?
