RHONJ Drama: Margaret Josephs Speaks Out on Teresa Giudice's Financial Woes

Teresa Giudice's reported $3 million tax liens have been brought up among the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast, despite the show being on pause

Teresa Giudice's Financial Woes Spark Drama on The Real Housewives of New Jersey - But Will It Sink Her Ship?

The cat is out of the bag, folks! Teresa Giudice and her hubby Louie Ruelas are facing a whopping $2.57 million in remaining taxes owed to the state of New Jersey. Yes, you read that right - the same Teresa who's always flaunting her lavish lifestyle on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

As we all know, Teresa has had her fair share of financial struggles in the past. Remember when she and her ex-husband Joe Giudice were sentenced to prison for their role in a multi-million dollar fraud scheme? Well, it seems like history is repeating itself, and this time around, it's Louie who's getting slammed with tax woes.

Margaret Josephs told Daily Mail on Tuesday at Bella magazine's cover party, Shorechella, 'I think, you know, everybody's used to unfortunate things, and no one wants anything bad'

But what does this mean for Teresa and the RHONJ cast? According to Margaret Josephs, her costar and fellow Housewife, "Everybody's used to unfortunate things... but nobody wants a sinking ship." And let me tell you, that sinking ship is looking more like a Titanic-sized disaster as we speak!

Margaret dished about the drama surrounding Teresa's financial struggles during an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note. When asked how she thinks Teresa will bounce back from this latest blow, Margaret said, "I feel sorry for her... I hope she gets out of it." And honestly, who can blame her? This is a Housewife who's always been known for her flair for the dramatic - but even she must be feeling a little shipwrecked at this point!

But here's the thing: Teresa's not exactly known for being forthcoming about her financial struggles. Remember that infamous interview with WGN-9 News where she shut down the conversation and stormed off? Yeah, we're looking at you, Teresa! So, it's no surprise that Margaret thinks Teresa "should have answered" that question.

She added: 'Regardless of how anybody feels about her, no one wants to see a sinking ship' (pictured with Rachel Fuda, Jennifer Fessler, Dolores Catania and Melissa Gorga)

And speaking of drama, what's really going on behind the scenes of RHONJ? According to The Scholarly Note's sources, the show is still on a deep pause - but there are rumors that casting has begun for the next season! Could this mean that new Housewives will be joining the cast or that some familiar faces will make a comeback?

One thing's for sure: Margaret Josephs isn't holding her breath for Teresa to turn things around anytime soon. In fact, she thinks their friendship has sailed... but hey, who knows? Maybe Teresa will surprise us all and emerge from this financial storm with a newfound sense of purpose!

Stay tuned for more juicy updates on The Real Housewives of New Jersey - and don't forget to tune in to BravoCon in November where the cast will be reuniting (minus Teresa, of course!)

According to court documents, Teresa has been issued a tax lien for $303,889, and Louie has been issued a tax lien for $2,569,842, in March - which is on top of the $163,523 tax lien that was issued to him on December 12, 2024

To date, Teresa has since paid off the $303,889 tax lien issued against her, and Louie has paid off his December 2024 tax lien of $163,523. The remaining taxes owed is $2,569,842, which is from a March state tax lien filed against Louie, according to judgments seen by Daily Mail

After the news broke about the couple's new legal problems, fans suspected that Teresa had 'learned nothing' from her previous marriage after she and Joe Giudice served time in prison (pictured with their four daughters Gabriella, Gia, Milania and Audriana)

Margaret told Daily Mail that she 'would love to have taught' Teresa 'crisis PR' - after she had a meltdown during an interview - because she believes she's 'really good at it'

The mom-of-four shut down an interview with Chicago's WGN-9 News on June 20 after a question about her taxes, as seen in a video that has gone viral

Margaret celebrated her cover of Bella Insider on July 15 at the magazine's second annual Shorechella event at The Whitechapel Projects in Long Branch, New Jersey (pictured with the founder and CEO of Bella Media, Vanessa Coppes)

'Somehow cream rises to the top, so whatever is meant to happen for me always does,' Margaret, pictured with her mom Marge Sr., said about her future on RHONJ

Margaret told Daily Mail that she has 'referred some people' to casting producers for the next season of RHONJ, but insisted 'there's no update'
