On Wednesday, Reese Witherspoon revealed how much hypnosis has changed her life - just as the romance between her Morning Show castmate Jennifer Aniston and her hypnotist boyfriend Jim Curtis heats up (pictured September 9)

The Hypnotic Romance: Reese Witherspoon Spills on Her Life-Changing Experience

In a candid conversation, Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon opened up about her transformative journey with hypnosis, just as rumors of a romance between her co-star Jennifer Aniston and her hypnotist boyfriend Jim Curtis heat up. The 49-year-old actress revealed how she traded in anxiety attacks for a life of calmness and clarity.

"I'm a high-anxiety person," Witherspoon confessed on the Las Culturistas podcast, her voice filled with vulnerability. "I used to have bad panic attacks, like crying jags, and I tried meditation, but it's hard for me to listen. Yeah, I also have some ADD stuff, so I can't sit still for very long." She continued, "Honestly, this sounds crazy, but I worked with a hypnotist who did no medicine. I took medication, Ativan, to calm down, but it made me feel like a zombie. I wasn't performing at the level I wanted to, and I wasn't as funny."

The 49-year-old Oscar winner confessed on Las Culturistas podcast: 'I used to have bad panic attacks, like crying, and I tried meditation [but] it's hard for me to listen. Yeah, I also have like some ADD stuff...Honestly, this sounds so crazy, but I worked with a hypnotist who did no medicine'

It was then that Witherspoon discovered the world of neurolinguistic programming (NLP), where she found a practitioner who helped her tap into the power of hypnosis. The game-changer? Understanding that she could perform at the same level whether stressed or not. "The cornerstone of that work is understanding that you're gonna perform at the same level whether you're stressed about it or not stressed about it," Witherspoon explained.

"So decide to take the stress out."

Through exercises like talking to herself after completing a task and giving herself moments to let in positive feedback, Witherspoon transformed her life. "That actually changed my whole life," she said with conviction. "And I want people to know anxiety is real." Witherspoon's heart goes out to those struggling, especially the young women who share their experiences on social media. "I see girls going through it or guys going through it and they post videos, and I wanna hug them. I want — [it] makes me wanna cry because it's very real, and you're not alone, and you can calm yourself down. There are tools to calm yourself down."

Reese continued: 'I took medicine. Sometimes I'd have to take Ativan to calm down and then it would make me feel like a zombie, and then I wasn't performing at the level I wanted to and I wasn't as funny'

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston has been quietly navigating her own path with Jim Curtis, a 56-year-old transformational coach who helped her overcome her fear of flying. Sources close to the couple tell The Scholarly Note that they're "hot and heavy," always together, and constantly communicate when apart. "They do everything together," a source revealed. "They are so into each other's interests – meditation, yoga, therapy, and dogs."

But Curtis has a history of short-lived relationships, admitting in his 2017 book The Stimulati Experience that he can't seem to keep a girlfriend for long. "I get bored," he confessed. With two ex-wives under his belt, including Bethenny Frankel's Real Housewives rival Rachel Napolitano, Curtis has struggled with maintaining meaningful connections.

As Reese Witherspoon prepares to celebrate her son Tennessee Toth's 13th birthday on September 27, the actress is also juggling her high-profile projects. Apple Studios recently renewed The Morning Show for a fifth season, and Witherspoon will reprise her role as Bradley Jackson. She reportedly earned $2 million per episode for executive producing and starring in the fourth season.
