Rebecca Ferguson and Idris Elba Rock the Venice Film Festival in Casual Elegance

VENICE FILM FESTIVAL HEATS UP WITH ROMANCE, GLAMOUR, AND A FEW TUMBLING STARS

The 82nd Venice International Film Festival has been making headlines with its star-studded premieres, and this year's event is no exception. The festival saw a flurry of romantic moments on the red carpet, as well as some stylish slips-ups.

Rebecca Ferguson looked every inch the Hollywood star as she stepped out of the Hotel Excelsior in Venice on Wednesday. The actress, known for her roles in Mission: Impossible and Doctor Sleep, was attending the premiere of her latest film, A House of Dynamite, alongside co-star Idris Elba.

Ferguson's outfit was a far cry from the glamour of the red carpet, opting for a loose black and white striped shirt with an untucked top that flashed a hint of abs. She paired the look with long denim jeans and shades, exuding a laid-back vibe that belied her high-profile status.

Meanwhile, Idris Elba appeared to be channeling his inner rockstar as he stepped out in a worn-and-torn T-shirt featuring a picture of the Statue of Liberty on the armpit. The navy graphic tee was paired with loose jeans and black sunglasses, giving him a relaxed, off-duty look that seemed at odds with the glamorous setting.

AMANDA SEYFRIED STEALS THE SHOW...TWICE!

But Amanda Seyfried stole the show not once, but twice, during her time at the festival. First, she was spotted wearing Julia Roberts's exact outfit after begging her stylist to borrow it. The actress looked incredible in an oversized blazer and blue denim jeans, which she had layered over a cream and brown shirt.

The look was identical to one Julia Roberts wore just days before, as the Pretty Woman star stepped out in a very similar ensemble for the After The Hunt photocall. Amanda confirmed her inspiration on Instagram, personally thanking Julia for sharing where she got her outfit from and tagging her stylist to wear it for the star-studded event.

AMANDA SEYFRIED'S NIGHT TO REMEMBER (OR NOT!)

But Amanda's evening didn't quite go as planned. As she stepped onto the carpet in a strapless satin navy and red gown, her extravagant button-up dress featured a surprise red lining underneath which was exposed as she climbed stairs, as well as a red bow on the bodice.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Amanda suffered a tumble while posing for snaps with the cast. Grabbing onto her co-star for support, she laughed off the mishap with Viola Prettejohn, showing her signature sense of humor in the face of embarrassment.

COUPLES GOING STEADY AT VENICE FILM FESTIVAL

The festival has been a hotbed of romance this year, with several couples putting on a loved-up display. Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina shared a passionate kiss ahead of the main event, while Rebecca Ferguson and her husband Rory Dote couldn't keep their hands off each other on the red carpet.

The film's star-studded cast attended the premiere of A House of Dynamite on Tuesday night, including Rebecca Ferguson and Idris Elba. The movie, directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Noah Oppenheim, follows a single unattributed missile launched at the United States, sparking a race to determine who is responsible and how to respond.

A Netflix synopsis for the film reads: "When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond." The movie will air on Netflix on 24 October.
