Reality TV Turmoil: Brit Eady's $20 Million Lawsuit Against Bravo

Real Housewives Of Atlanta castmember Brit Eady has filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBC, and production companies for the reality show after last year's 'revenge porn' incident

The Drama Unfolds: Brit Eady Takes Bravo, NBC, and Kenya Moore to Court for $20 Million

In a shocking turn of events, Real Housewives Of Atlanta castmember Brit Eady has filed a lawsuit against Bravo, NBC, and production companies Truly Original and Endemol Shine North America for the reality show. The lawsuit comes on the heels of last year's "revenge porn" incident that sent season 16 reunion into chaos.

According to court documents obtained by The Scholarly Note, Eady is seeking $20 million in damages for defamation, emotional distress, sexual harassment, and a hostile work environment. The suit centers around a moment from episode five of the current season 16, which featured Kenya Moore showing explicit posters allegedly depicting Eady performing oral sex.

The Drama Begins:

In April, an episode titled "About Last Night" aired on RHOA, featuring Kenya Moore celebrating the grand opening of her hair spa. The event was attended by some cast members, including Brit Eady, who arrived with flowers as a peace offering after starting a feud earlier in the season.

However, Kenya was not having it. She refused to accept the apology and showed an explicit poster board at the event that allegedly depicted Eady performing oral sex. Porsha Williams took her mic off in shock, stating, "I want to just take my mic off. You can just act like I was never at this event."

According to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com on Friday, Eady (pictured) filed a $20million lawsuit over her portrayal on the show Thursday as she alleges defamation, emotional distress, sexual harassment and a hostile work environment

The Fallout:

After the episode aired, Kenya was suspended indefinitely from RHOA following claims that she shared adult images of Eady. She denied doing so on Instagram stories, writing, "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes to light."

In a separate post, Moore penned on X (formerly Twitter), "I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images, nor solicited images owned by others to use or threaten or blackmail. I have always been vindicated. I can't talk about STORY even with people planting fake news."

As Moore (pictured in New York in November 2023) had been working for the network at the time, Eady is also suing Bravo by respondeat superior, which is a legal doctrine that holds employers responsible for the wrongful conduct of their employees

The Drama Continues:

Eady also shared a statement on Instagram, saying, "It's never a good feeling being targeted or HAZED by someone I thought would embrace me into a new circle, that I never met. For the record, I've never once had possession of any weapons or threatened anyone ever. I am hurt by the narrative that's being displayed. Wrong is wrong."

Kelli Ferrell Speaks Out:

Brit confirmed that she was not making an appearance in the reunion - but also claimed that she was actually not in the explicit posters that Moore had shown

In an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note last month, Kelli Ferrell offered her thoughts on Kenya's firing from RHOA. "[It was] surprising for everybody. I mean, who would've thought that that would be our final time in filming.

"I just felt like it was so many other things that we had left to discuss and talk about and connect on," Ferrell added. "I mean it's unfortunate. I think [for] all parties, it's just unfortunate."

The Lawsuit:

She continued, 'And while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me'

Brit Eady is now taking Bravo, NBC, and production companies to court for allegedly creating a hostile work environment and engaging in defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false light, and sexual harassment.

According to the lawsuit filed on The Scholarly Note, Eady alleges that she was subjected to unwelcome, offensive, and sexualized behavior by her castmates and Bravo producers. She claims that she attempted to see the explicit photo before it aired but was refused by Bravo.

The filing reads: "Defendants willfully, intentionally, recklessly, and/or with gross negligence produced, edited, and aired an episode of RHOA on April 6, 2025 that included footage of certain of the cast member’s statements at issue as well as commentary from other cast members that described the photographs displayed."

Back in April, an episode titled About Last Night during the 16th season featured the moment when Moore had presented explicit photos which allegedly showed Eady performing oral sex; Moore seen in 2023 in Beverly Hills

Kenya's Response:

In response to Eady's lawsuit, Kenya Moore took to X to issue a statement to her followers. "I'm disappointed to not be a part of the #RHOA 16 reunion taping today," she wrote. "Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests and viewers."

The reality star then seemingly teased a possible return to the show by adding, "I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon."

Brit Eady's Statement:

Eady also issued a statement of her own on her Instagram stories. She confirmed that she was not making an appearance in the reunion but claimed that she was actually not in the explicit posters that Moore had shown.

"As everyone is now aware, I'm not attending the Reunion. This was my decision," she wrote. "The events of this season have devastated me... And while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me."

The Final Verdict:

Eady's lawsuit is seeking a public statement acknowledging that the episode shared a false depiction of her and a monetary reward that includes legal fees. If the defendants fail to appear, Eady asked that a judgment be issued for "the sum of not less than $20 million, with interest, and the costs and fees of this action."

The drama surrounding RHOA's season 16 reunion has come to a head, and it remains to be seen how this will play out in court.
