OSCARS WINNER SIGHTED IN LOS ANGELES!

Get ready for a dose of Tinseltown glamour, folks! We've got the scoop on one of Hollywood's most beloved and iconic actresses, who's been making waves in LA with her rare public appearances.

The one and only Linda Hunt, Oscar winner and international treasure, was spotted out and about in LA recently, looking every bit as fabulous as she did back in the day. The 80-year-old acting legend was seen walking with her long-time wife, Karen Kline, a psychotherapist extraordinaire, and an assistant.

The star, now 80, earned acting's highest honor for an acclaimed historical drama that helped cement Mel Gibson's rise to international stardom

But what's got everyone talking is that Linda, who's known for her petite frame (she stands at just 4'9"), appeared to require some help getting around. The usually spry actress held onto her wife and assistant as they strolled through the streets of LA. We're sending all our love and positive vibes her way!

For those who may be too young to remember, Linda Hunt won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her iconic role in The Year Of Living Dangerously (1982). But that was just the beginning of an illustrious career spanning decades. With a whopping 40-year tenure in Hollywood under her belt, Linda has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry.

We're talking about the likes of Mel Gibson, who rose to international stardom thanks in part to their collaboration on The Year Of Living Dangerously. That film's director, Peter Weir, had a unique approach to casting – he was initially looking for male actors to play the role of Billy Kwan, but after seeing Linda's photo, he knew she was the perfect fit.

She's Linda Hunt, who is best known for winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for 1982's The Year Of Living Dangerously

In an interview with The New York Times in 1982, Weir revealed that it was only after seeing Linda test that he became convinced she was the right choice. "I never would have started out looking for a woman," he said. "But from the moment I saw her test, I knew she was appropriate."

And boy, was he ever! Linda's portrayal of Billy Kwan earned her not only an Oscar but also cemented her place as one of Hollywood's most beloved actresses.

Throughout her illustrious career, Linda has worked steadily in film and television. She made her Broadway debut in 1975, starring in a revival of Ah, Wilderness, and went on to appear in numerous films, including the iconic comedy Popeye (1980), opposite Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall.

She played Billy Kwan, a Chinese¿Australian photographer working with an Australian correspondent (Mel Gibson) covering the abortive military coup in the mid-'60s that later reshaped the country's government; still from The Year Of Living Dangerously

She also had roles in Dune (1984) and The Bostonians (1983), alongside Christopher Reeve and Vanessa Redgrave. But it was her work on television that really put her on the map – particularly as Judge Zoey Hiller on The Practice, which she played from 1997 to 2002.

Linda's longest-running role, however, was undoubtedly as Henrietta 'Hetty' Lange on NCIS: Los Angeles. She joined the show in 2009 and remained a main cast member until 2021. Although her appearance on the show has been limited since then, she still manages to captivate audiences with her charm.

But it's not all sunshine and rainbows for Linda – after being involved in a serious multi-car crash in 2018, she took some time off from acting to focus on her health. We're so glad to see her back out there!

Hunt holds the rare distinction of being the first person to win an acting Oscar for playing a person of the opposite sex; seen at the 1983 ceremony

Linda's impact extends far beyond the screen – she's also made waves in the world of video games as the narrator of God Of War (2005) and several of its sequels.

And did you know that Linda holds a special distinction? She was the first person to win an acting Oscar for playing a character of the opposite sex. Talk about breaking barriers!

We can't get enough of this Hollywood legend, folks! With her sparkling wit, infectious charm, and undeniable talent, Linda Hunt is an icon we'll be celebrating for years to come.
