Queer Eye's Sweet Farewell: The Journey Ends After a Decade of Transformation

Queer Eye, starring (from left) Karamo Brown, Tan France, Jeremiah Brent, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan van Ness, is ending after its upcoming 10th season

QUEER EYE'S TIME IS UP!

Get ready for a major blow: after six fabulous seasons, Netflix has announced that its hit reality show Queer Eye is coming to an end with its upcoming 10th season!

The show, which rebooted the cult classic Bravo series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in 2018, has been bringing the feels and making us all feel good about ourselves. But alas, it's time to say goodbye to the Fab Five - Jonathan van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, and Jeremiah Brent.

Jeremiah joined the series on season nine as the interior design expert, replacing Bobby Berk, who is pictured (second from left) with the rest of the cast at the 2018 Emmys

The news broke on Wednesday when Netflix shared a photo of the current Fab Five on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: "It's been a wild ride... The final season of #QueerEye is now filming! Join us for one last adventure as we explore Washington D.C.!"

Tan France, the fashion expert and self-proclaimed "Fabulous" member of the group, took to Instagram to express his gratitude and sadness about the show coming to an end. He wrote: "First day of the FINAL season of Queer Eye... It's been a long, beautiful journey we've been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for this our little show that changed my life in ways I never thought possible... Thank you! Thank you!!!!!"

But before we get to say goodbye, let's take a trip down memory lane. Remember when Bobby Berk, the original interior design expert, left the show after eight seasons? He revealed that he had made other commitments and didn't renew his contract. But what about the rumors of a feud between him and Tan France?

The current cast are pictured on the ninth and latest season, which took place in Las Vegas and marked Jeremiah's introduction to the series

In an interview with The Scholarly Note.com (formerly Vanity Fair), Bobby dished out the tea: "Tan and I - we will be fine." He also confessed to having a moment of anger towards Tan, which led him to temporarily unfollow the fashion expert on Instagram. But he assured us that it was all just sibling rivalry.

Fast forward to January 2024, when Rolling Stone published an explosive article claiming that Tan and Antoni had "conspired" to have Bobby replaced with Jeremiah Brent. Tan fiercely denied the allegations, stating: "I would never do anything to hurt someone I care about... We're all just trying to make each other look good."

As we prepare to say goodbye to Queer Eye, let's take a moment to appreciate the show that brought us laughter, tears, and most importantly, self-love. It's been a wild ride indeed!

Stay tuned for the final season of Queer Eye, which is now filming in Washington D.C.!
