Public Feud or Private Pain? Ioan Gruffud vs. Alice Evans
IOAN GRUFFUDD'S BOMBSHELL CLAIM: EX-WIFE ALICE EVANS HAS BREACHED RESTRAINING ORDER A WHOPPING 5,000 TIMES!
In a shocking turn of events, actor Ioan Gruffudd has accused his ex-wife Alice Evans of breaching their restraining order an astonishing 5,000 times in just three years. The Fantastic Four star, who recently announced that he and his new wife Bianca Wallace are expecting a baby, filed documents at court last month seeking to have the order extended indefinitely.
According to Gruffudd's claims, the 5,000 breaches amount to an average of 138 incidents per month – or four times a day! The restraining order was initially granted in August 2022, prohibiting Evans from contacting Gruffudd or his new wife, and ordering her to stay away from them. Under its terms, Evans is also forbidden from harassing them through social media posts.
But Gruffudd alleges that Evans has repeatedly flouted the order, with the actor set to give evidence at a hearing in August alongside his new wife. It's understood that Evans denies any harassment and will be asking to have the order lifted.
THE FIGHT FOR CHILD AND SPOUSAL SUPPORT
In another twist, Gruffudd and Evans are also headed to court next month to determine child and spousal support. In a filing, Evans revealed that she had received nothing from her former husband for 22 months after their split in 2021. After an interim judgment was made last year, Gruffudd started paying Evans $4,500 per month, which she claims is not enough to cover basic expenses for herself and their daughters.
Evans was facing eviction on June 1st over unpaid rent for the apartment she shared with their children Ella and Elsie in Los Angeles. In a desperate bid to avoid homelessness, Evans launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for moving costs and a deposit on a new flat.
A HISTORY OF TURMOIL
The tumultuous relationship between Gruffudd and Evans has been marked by drama and controversy. In 2023, Gruffudd accused his ex-wife of setting up fake Twitter accounts to brand him and Ms Wallace as "child abusers." He also claimed that Evans screamed at him outside his Los Angeles home and called him a "f** abuser" in front of their daughter Ella.
In 2024, Evans revealed that she regretted her behavior immediately following the end of their marriage. She said: "I understand why the Court issued the DVRO (restraining order), and I wish I had never sent the messages or published the social media posts."
A FATHER'S DAY SURPRISE
Gruffudd's recent announcement that he and Ms Wallace are expecting a baby was met with shock and outrage from Evans. On Father's Day, Gruffudd revealed the news, sparking widespread coverage in the media. A newspaper reported that Evans was "fuming" about the news, with sources claiming it was a "gut punch" to the star.
In response, Evans wrote on Instagram: "I am not fuming. Why on earth would I be? And even if I were, how the hell would anybody know?"
Describing the news as "beautiful," Alice continued: "And as for those who sent me nasty messages or made nasty comments online please remember that a baby announcement is a beautiful thing that brings much happiness and you're sullying it with your hate. Shame on you. The baby deserves better."
