Princess Charlotte's Endearing Curtsy Mishap at Coronation Concert

ROYAL SIGHTING: Princess Charlotte Steals the Show at King Charles's Coronation Concert

In a weekend filled with pomp and circumstance, one young royal stole the spotlight - and our hearts - as she danced and curtsied her way through the Windsor Coronation Concert. Eight-year-old Princess Charlotte, the mini-me of the Royal Family, was the epitome of elegance and charm as she took in the star-studded performance alongside her family.

The concert, held outside Windsor Castle on May 7, 2023, was a hot ticket item, with 10,000 lucky members of the public snagging free tickets to the two-hour extravaganza. But for Princess Charlotte, it was just another day at the office - or rather, the castle. Alongside her elder brother Prince George (who seemed a bit more interested in his phone than the performers on stage), the young princess was beaming with excitement as she took in the sights and sounds of the concert.

In an adorable moment captured on camera, having witnessed Charlotte's toppled curtsy, Queen Camilla tried to reassure her step-granddaughter

But what really made this royal sighting special was the adorable moment between Princess Charlotte and Queen Camilla. As their grandfather, King Charles, passed by, Princess Charlotte did her best curtsy - but unfortunately, it didn't quite go according to plan. The young princess toppled over in her attempt to curtsy, prompting a gentle pat on the shoulder from Queen Camilla as she tried to reassure her step-granddaughter.

But don't worry, royal watchers - this wasn't the only time Princess Charlotte's cute curtsy took centre stage. Earlier this year, a video of Charlotte's first-ever public curtsy went viral on TikTok, showcasing her sweet and charming personality at just two years old. And let's be real, who can blame us for going weak in the knees over that adorable bob?

But what really caught our attention was the special bond between Princess Charlotte and Queen Camilla. As the young princess waved goodbye to her family after a royal tour of Poland and Germany earlier this year (with Kate reminding her daughter to say thank you before they boarded the plane), she dipped into a curtsy as she bid farewell to the Polish dignitaries. It's clear that this little royal is already making waves with her elegant deportment in public - and we can't get enough of it!

Featuring a star-studded lineup including Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry , the young princess and her elder brother stole the show with their dancing from the front row of the Royal Box

And speaking of elegant, who was the real star of the show at the Coronation Concert? King Charles himself, who seemed to enjoy the comedic musings of Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog (yes, really!) the most. The Muppet characters even made an appearance in the royal box with them before the stage - because what's a coronation concert without a little bit of Muppet magic?

But amidst all the glamour and glitz, there was one moment that truly touched our hearts: Prince William's heartfelt tribute to his father as he took the stage. With tears in his eyes, Prince William told King Charles, "Pa, we are all so proud of you." He also spoke about how his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, would be looking down from heaven and "fondly" watching over her son's Coronation weekend.

As the concert came to a close with Take That's iconic performance of Never Forget (with Kermit the Frog even dancing along!), we couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy for this young royal family. And Princess Charlotte, in particular, stole our hearts as she waved her Union flag and celebrated alongside her family.

The concert came during a busy weekend for the little royals, who played a starring role in the Coronation to watch their grandfather being crowned King

But what does the future hold for this little princess? With changes to the rules concerning succession made back in 2013 (which mean male heirs are no longer prioritized above female heirs), Princess Charlotte - born in 2015 - became the first British princess to rank above a younger brother. And with her elegant deportment and charming personality, she's set to one day be Princess Royal, following in the footsteps of her great aunt, Princess Anne.

So here's to Princess Charlotte: may you continue to capture our hearts with your sweet curtsies and charming smile - and may you always remember that royal protocol is just a guide, not a rule!

For a young princess who was definitely up past her bedtime, royal protocol was likely the last thing on her mind
